Top Local Tips for Newquay

seals Go down to the small harbour in Newquay and you will see the seals bobing about around 20 feet from you or even lying of the beach were you can go up to them. But not too close or they,ll snap at you.

Getting around Newquay is central to every attraction that you could want to visit. Sea, sand and surfing is excellent. Gardens to visit including the Eden Project, Truro the cathedral city, Land's End, Lizard Point and safe beaches for children and pets.

A stones throw Not just surf city - everything is minutes away - Truro 10 mins, Redruth 20 mins, Lands End 40 Mins, Padstow 15 mins, Plymouth 40 Mins, Devon 40 Mins. Get out and about there is so much to see and do at each of the destinations. Best time to go either May/June or Late August/early September. Sailors Bar or the Sausage Shop as its known to the locals should carry a singles only tag. I was with my new hubby and guys still approached. I suppose it is a male dominated town - so if your thinking of a girlie weekend away Newquays the answer. Have a BBQ on Crantock Beach - we bumped into Jude Law at around 6 pm watching the sun going down tucking into a bbq and beer
