For the price I can not complain about this hotel, the staff were friendly and whilst the hotel is a bit dated my room was clean and it took me 2 minutes to walk back from my night out. I am staying again and would recommend to anybody wanting a hotel that is conveniently located at a very reasonable price for Chester.

Me and 2 mates decided to visit Chester for a weekend of shopping and site seeing. We booked the Roma Hotel for one night costing us £36.00 each. We were allowed to book in early and had a choice of 2 rooms to choose from and we decided against the attic room as we had one less flight of stairs to climb..and with all the shopping bags we were expecting to bring back with us.. I was a bit worried as i had read the previous feedback about lack of cleaning, but was pleasntly surprised to find the room lovely and clean, plenty of space, could do with a bit of updating, but thats to be expected from an old georgian house. perfect location and small car park, would hapily recomend it. Staff lovely, breakfast great.

Travelled to Chester to go to races and we booked this hotel as it was close to city centre and race course. As it was racing weekend the price was £100 per night, which to say the least was a lot for the standard of the room and hotel facilities. Our room was a twin with no opening window just a fire exit, very warm at night. Bathroom was filthy - cigarette ash, muck and hair over floor. I don't think room has been decorated for more than 20 years and carpet was old and dirty. Breakfast was okay and staff friendly. Definitely wouldn't stay again.
