Good but plan carefully
The web site says “The secluded surroundings of Lordleaze Hotel is a perfect location for those seeking peace and tranquillity,” and indeed this proved to be the case on both mornings we were at the hotel. The weekend we stayed was hot and sunny but the evenings were far from ‘peace and tranquillity’.
So what shattered the ‘peace and tranquillity’? Quite simply, the hotel had a function on Friday night and an evening wedding reception on the Saturday night.
The noise from the Friday guests on the outdoor patio made it difficult to sleep on a hot night with the bedroom windows open. A rainy evening would perhaps have solved the problem. Mind you, they did leave around midnight so if you go to bed after that you’ll be okay.
