The whole hotel looked tired and drab, and more resembled a B a B, than a city centre hotel. On being taken the room the area looked worn and dirty.
Once in the room it got worse, the walls were damp to the extent that when you pushed them the plaster moved, and was cracked, the "bathroom", which in fact was only a shower and toilet as the basin was in the bedroom, was disgusting, the roof was full of black mould, and the shower unit was damp and mouldy and needed a complete update. Trying to control the old hot and cold water controls was another feat, as it took 5 minutes for the water to run hot, then scolded you.
I think that first of all this hotel need to review your rates as £95 was no way a rate that I would ever pay for such a "room", secondly I would suggest that it invest some money in bringing the rooms up to date, or at least a good standard.
In my job I have stayed in countless hotels and BB across the UK and Europe and never found such a tired and dirty city centre hotel.
