Avoid Duxford Aerospace Museum - it's grossly overpriced The Imperial War Museum Aircraft collection at Duxford is a few miles south of cambridge on the M11 This is a major museum by UK standards, and financed by the tax-payer, but the adult entrance fee is £16 (more than $30!) for a 6-hour visit. Though Duxford has some impressive exhibits it is a fraction of the size of the US National Aerospace Museum in Washington – and there entrance is free. Britain certainly goes out of its way to ensure that it is a prohibitively expensive destination for the average visitor much less the average local.

stay in Cambridge I have stayed in Cambridge a few times now. Because parking is expensive and through previous experiences I would choose to stay in a good quaity city centre hotel with it's own car park.
