Last week I had the misfortune of spending a night (2 days, 26 and 27 Oct 05)at the Cambs Moathouse. First I was checked into a room that was already occupied. Colleagues who had arrived days earlier found to their surprise they had been checked out! The room I eventually got had hair in the bath and even worse - hairs in the bed. I slept on my own clothes which i laid out over the sheets, worst night ever, got maybe 3 hours sleep. Despite advising of specific dietary requirements it seemed to come as a surprise I and others in my party were vegans. The food was awful and we twice sent it back. The staff were surly and made it clear we had inconvenienced them. The room rate on the paperwork was incorrect. Papers and folders disappeared from our meeting room. Just horrendous. I left there exhausted and starving, not to mention being in need of a good scrub.
