Breakfast of Champions

It was the web site that first attracted me to Paskins - good, simple design, and a sense of humour. The breakfasts sounded mouth-watering, especially compared to the bland, uninspiring fare one gets in many hotels (contrary to popular belief, watery ham, sweaty cheese, polystyrene bread and a cup of Nescafe do not a Continental Breakfast make). I was not disappointed!

The rooms are simple and straightforward - it was more like a bedroom, than a hotel room, and I slept like a log. The staff actually cared about the guests - they were friendly, helpful, and chatty. And the breakfasts... now, I'm not normally a breakfast kind of guy, but then I don't think I've seen breakfasts like this before. The Pavillion Rarebit is absolutely gorgeous, the full English Breakfast was full of meaty goodness, the toast and coffee actually tasted like real toast and coffee ought to, and the marmalade...(sigh).

I originally booked for three nights, but extended to four because it was so enjoyable. I am about to go back again, just a month later, as a birthday treat. Paskin's are craftsmen (and women) of the Hotel trade, and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

We stayed at paskins for the weekend.Wonderful room , wonderful breakfast.Sue was super , so efficient and a real source of knowledge, and really there were so many wonderful things for breakfast, we will have to go back and work our way through all the combinations.
We have stayed at many hotels throughout the world and none match up to the hospitality and the charming hosts that run the wonderful Paskins.
Roger cooks the breakfasts and if you get a chance listening to one of his amazing yarns, not sure if the are true but he a wonderful storyteller.He says he used to be a dustman, not sure thats true - I don't know any dustmen who are so knowledgable and cook such a brilliant breakfast.
Can't wait to go back and enjoy ourselves not only at paskins, where nothing is too much trouble, but there is so much to do and see in brighton.

OK, not that wonderful really. I really like what they are doing with their eco-and veggie-friendly slant, but it is a bit overpriced for what it is. Breakfast room was not great and the owners had not warned me of the building works taking place across the street so we were woken up very early by drilling etc. But a good alternative to dusty bnbs and ragged hotels.
I stayed more recently at The White House in Brighton, and I liked it much more

Bank Holiday Bliss

Had the pleasure os Staying at Paskins over the May day bank holiday. Deliciouse veggie breakfast. Owners and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Brighton is a gartonomic delight. Plenty of great suggestions for restaraunts from the foody Roger. Rooms fun andvery clean. We will definately be back!!

Triumph of style over substance

Paskins Town House seems to be run by someone who has watched too many TV makeover shows. The place is stylish but in truth it is a seaside guest house with pretensions. The rooms, single or double, are very tight. Hardly any room to move and that includes the toilet/shower rooms. The breakfast is similarly over fussy especially when we had to wait half an hour for a table as the breakfast room is too small. And how can anyone forget to take your order when there are only half a dozen tables?

Me and my mate have just returned from a night's stay at the Paskins Town House in Brighton. If you are a lover of all things art deco then you'll enjoy your stay here. Our twin room was very tastefully furnished and had a HUGE picture of Audrey Hepburn on the wall - so a bit art deco infused with a bit of kitsch (bright red fluffy heart pillows on our beds)! The bathroom, though small was perfectly adequate - you don't go to Brighton to spend all your time in the bathroom (unless perhaps you've had a few too many bottles of VK Orange). The staff were really nice and friendly.
The breakfast was good, and served in a lovely dining room with lots of art deco tea sets on display. There was a good choice of really delicious-sounding things to eat so we're going to have to go back again for that reason alone!
Paskins is ideally situated for a night out in Brighton. There is a 5 minute walk into the town centre along the sea front and plenty of places to eat and drink.
We will definately be going back.

Perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Brighton. It was a joy to return to Paskins, having shopped 'til we dropped, where we were met by charming and accommodating staff. The breakfasts are to die for, catering for all tastebuds and diets - indeed, you will be spoilt for choice. All this and only a few minutes from the centre of Brighton. Wonderful.

Highly overrated

A much anticipated weekend ruined by arrogant unprofessional staff. After our mistreatment and unhappy with the 'service' we found it neccessary to seek alternative accomodation. We were not offered a refund for the nights we did not stay. Questionable eco-friendly policy and small overpriced rooms. Luckily we found a better establishment which I suggest others should do - there are a lot of them in Brighton.

After a long day in London we got to Paksins and recieved the warmest welcome, help with our bags and parking, and endless amounst of useful advise on where to eat, shop, and drink in brighton. The rooms were briliant, the bed amazingly comfy, and the decor warm and inviting. We are returning this christmas and cant wait to tuck into rogers full organic english breakkie after another wonderful nights sleep! I cant wait to return!

Great hotel for a lovely weekend in Brighton. Single room was small but adequate, comfy bed, lovely selection of fair trade teas etc in room - no request was too much. Great breakfast, especially the sausages!

Will be going back for sure!

Top Local Tips for Brighton

Indian Food We dined at Agra and the food was lovely.Service was great, made welcome even though not booked a table, the guy at the door was very pleasant. Nice atmosphere and reasonable price for food.Worth trying

Traffic Go by train or bus if you can the traffic is terrible I am going on the Train next time

Veggie paradise Brighton is packed with top-notch vegetarian and vegan eateries, which are unmissable for veg*ns and omnivores alike. Our personal favourite - RedVeg, on Gardner St - offers veggie fast food that is dangerously moreish, and miles better than your conventional fast food outlet, and for dessert, head to Shakeaway, and load up on vegan milkshakes!
