Poor Service, Poor Staff
We found the Brockton hotel had an unfriendly feeling. Hospitality seemed shallow.
Food was bland and resembled microwave cooking. Car park for a few cars was of the road but you park at your own risk at being boxed in and it could be for all day, beds were clean. For £33 per night bed, breakfast and evening meal there are far nicer hotels in Bridlington than the Brockton.

I wouldn't stay there again.
The standard of cleaning and furnishing in the rooms was acceptable, but the rooms were very cold, even in June. The Brockton's adverts state that there is adjustable heating in all rooms, and yes you can turn the radiators up or down, but this isn't much use when the central heating system is switched off for most of the time.
Breakfast was only served for half an hour each morning, from 8.30 - 9.00, so if you wanted an early start or fancied a lay in you had to miss it. Not that you were missing much, the cooked breakfast was just eatable, the cereals were cheap, the orange 'juice' was either squash or reconstituted powder, either way it was so watery you could see through it. And I won't even mention the tinned tomatoes!
I don't know how this ever got four stars. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Lovely clean hotel+ good food
I totally disagree with the review by the library travellers. My husband and myself have stayed at the Brockton 3 times and have found the food to be of high standard, cooked freshly by Alan or Marion, who are both trained chefs. How anyone can call this 'supermarket food' is beyond my comprehension.

Expensive
Found hotel accomodation very good, towels etc changed daily, clean and tidy environment, parking quite good, only problem was there seemed to be no qualified cook as the food was completely unacceptable, no special dietery requirements catered for, the food that was consumed was prepacked supermarket purchased and didnt really come up to standards expected at all considering that the establishment does have a four star rating. Also considered the hotel to be quite expensive overall.
