Excellent Hotel
A good all round hotel with excellent food and the staff and service canot be faulted. Rooms could be bigger, but very clean and comfortable. Would certainly return.

Enjoyable holiday
My husband and I had a very enjoyable one week holiday at the Majestic Hotel. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Small lift holds three persons. 300 from cliff top. Rooms clean and comfortable. Entertainment each evening.

Tired Hotel, Poor Food
Drab frontage to hotel. Tired public areas, standard of food very poor. Unfriendly, sharp & unsmiling waitress. Toilet leaking (reported but not fixed). Unsafe stair on 2nd floor. Windows misted up in room, so no view. Tiny lift (1 person + suitcase). Drab net curtains throughough hotel drooped down on overstretched wires. I complained in a letter to Shearings director, but no joy. No one we spoke to staying in the hotel that week was happy.... I could go on!
