My wife and I spent a vry enjoyable and comfortable week in this hotel with excellent food and hard working staff. Entertainment each night, and the hotel facilities were well conceived and served by the hard working staff.
The hotel is well positioned being only three hundred yards from the cliff top and the same from an excellent bus rout.

My wife and I enjoyed a week's stay in a very clean and pleasant room (111) we were very well looked after by the hotel staff who seemed very hard working. This is a modern hotel about 300 yards from the sea front. The menu was varied and well presented. For those without transport there is a good bus service at the end of the road to the town centre, Poole and Christchurch

I found this hotel to be clean throughout. The service was excellent and the staff most polite and helpfull. The restuarant had a good and varied menue. The bar was also excellent. There was entertainment every night. A previous reviewer stated that they catered for the elderly. Well yes they did have a little bingo session,a quiz and music from the 50's 60's and upwards. Dancing was catered for ie line dancing, twist, ballroom etc plus cabaret, comedians, vocalists. So it was varied. As most of the guests ranged from middle aged to elderly anyway the entertainment was well suited. This hotel mainly caters for coach parties (WA/Shearings) although any person can book individually. On the downside whilst the ground floor facilities are great the bedrooms or at least the one we were in was in need of refurbishment. It was clean with fresh towels every day if required but I missed not having a shower. The floor creaked a lot and the furniture was old. But most of us dont spend the holiday in the bedroom. I would certainly consider going again.

There was no shower unit in bathroom. I had to ask for shower hose to put into taps. The carpet had marks on it and was very old. The furniture was dark and depressing. There was no telephone in bedroom. The walls and ceiling were of artex which is very unfashionable. The lampshades were very old. However the food was quite good. English breakfast was obviously freshly cooked. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and smartly dressed. The entertainment was for elderly people and did not cater for the young.

Top Local Tips for Bournemouth

Eating out Don`t realy on Bournmouth town centre for a good lunch, pretty poor realy espesially on weekends when it`s crowded. Seemed to lacking in eating pubs or perhaps i didn`t kook enough. Had to resort to a Harry Ramsdons, which to be honest i enjoyed.

beautiful bournemouth Bournemouth is just wonderful - whether your 6 months, 6 years, 16 years or 60+ years. Bournemouth caters for everyone - there are places to go for peace and quiet and tranquility and there are the hiphop places for the late teens and early 20"s. The beaches are breathtaking, the shops wonderful and if the weather is good you could be in Ibiza. I have been going to Bournemouth since I was a little girl, I then took my boys there when they were little and now that they are grown up it is my and my Husbands romantic getaway. Thank you Bournemouth.

Transport Plenty of public transport to get to places of interest
