Good food but hotel is a shambles
Altogether 9 members of my family stayed at this hotel in July for 1 week. My husband and I used to stay here for holidays about 10-15 years ago and it was lovely. But it seems nothing has changed since then. The 1st room we were given (myself, husband and 2 young children) had a large damp patch on the ceiling with the paper all hanging off, damp in the wardrobe, the bath panel was half hanging off with old rusty screws exposed (not good with 2 young children) and the window sills were all black and grimy.
We complained but as no other family room was available we had to make do for 1 night in a normal room (they had to bring in another bed). We were then given another family room the next morning. This was a lot better than the original room, but this too had damp patches in the ceilings in the bedroom and the bathroom but at least the bathroom itself was in a relatively good state of repair. But this was room no 3 in the space of 24 hours of being there.
