Warm and Friendly

from acciomen
Very friendly staff, fantastic bar area good selection of drinks. There was a good choice for breakfast, named cereals, toast, tea, cooked breakfast etc, and any special requests were catered for. Although the rooms were a little tired, they were comfortable and clean.

It was a pleasant stay compared to some of the B & B's i have stayed in in Blackpool.

Me and my mate have just got home after 4 excellent days at vidella hotel. We have been there before, and I can highly recomend it. Specially because of the fantastic service we got from the personels. We will defintly come back next year.

fab place to stay

from georginaOxford
wot can i say , this must be the friendliest place to stay in blackpool, a big thanks to all the stAff for making our holliday one to remember, and one of the best.
nothing is to much trouble .
we have stayed in many hotels in blackpool and have never had such a wide variety of meals , all exellent quality.
and nice to see a properly cleaned hotel in blackpool. if we stay in blackpool again it has to be the vidella, just a couple of bad points 1 having to go on a diet when getting home after all the lovely meals and 2 having to go hame

Excellent All rounder

from TravellingD
I stayed here, hoping for jus a comfortable place to sleep after a night out... What i got was much more! The staff are excellent and can not do enough to help. The range on the bar is great and the cocktail menu is something a big brand would be proud of.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether its families or couples, The lack of Big groups meant i could get a good sleep before breakfast and a personal service from the staff as they knew my name from when i checked in until i left.

never again

from dawny41442
i booked me and my mum in for 4 nights at this hotel ! wish i never now! the day we got there we was in the top room up 5 floors which was a smoking room which we never got asked if we wanted one , which is pointless as we dont smoke and i hate the smell ! THE BATHROOM ! well what can i say you need to be stick thin to use the bathroom and the lock was broken on the door and never fixed the whole time we was there ! and aslo there was a drip in the celing in the shower it went on alnight so complained the next day and someone came and poked a little hole in the clieing and they said they would get a plumber in ,it should not fall down !! never saw a plumber ! the door to the room was all bendy t.THe room itself was not clean the window ceil was never dusted neither the tele .The wall had cracks in it and paper coming away from . and mold . not nice at all i had a fab time in blackpool but will never return to this hotel !

Mixed feelings

from fivestarfrankie
What to say about this hotel? The staff are very very helpful, as others have said nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is OK but not as good as the website would have you believe. The rooms are only just acceptable. the new bar is very smart. The prices are good value. This could be a gem of a B & B with just a little thought and investment. Equally if the staff were not as good as they are it could be a nightmare!

cant wait to go back!

from katmatt159
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my boyfriend and another couple, and enjoyed every minute! When we arrived at the hotel the check in was very quick and helpful and the staff were friendly. The hotel was in great walking distance location, about a 5-10 minute walk. The room itself was average, abit on the small side and wasnt overly stylish although the beds were comfy and we had a decent shower so couldnt complain. The bar area was very modern and bright, and was a great place to have a few drinks in the day time or in the evening before heading into town. The breakfast was included in the price, with a choice of a full english breakfast or a selection of cereals. We managed to get up in time the first morning, and couldnt fault the breakfast! A big bonus was that we didnt have to worry about what time we arrived back from town as we had our own key. Overall, the break was brilliant and would definatly reccomend this hotel, especially to young people. Cant wait to go back this summer!!

My partner and I, and 3 of our friends all stayed in this hotel on 31st March 2007, and I have to say that we had a BRILLIANT TIME there!

Sharon (the manageress) is absolutely LOVELY! She is the most welcoming, friendliest person EVER! She was a true diamond whilst we were there.

We are all young, and were going out for a night of clubbing around the gay bars. Prior to going out, we had a few drinks in the bar at the hotel (which is fab by the way!), and generally had a laugh with Sharon (the manageress) and some other people that were staying there.

We eventually went out clubbing, and got back in at around 2am, to find that people were still in the bar! So we joined them and livened the place up a bit and generally had a bloody good time!

We did Karaoke until about 4am - My god it was a laugh a minute!

The rooms are a lot nicer than some of the rooms we've stayed in before when we've gone to Blackpool, and we'll definately be returning!

My advice:- If you're young(ish) and can keep up with the pace, then this hotel is perfect for you, especially if you're going out on a Saturday night and want to maybe carry on drinking / having a laugh when you get back - It's the perfect hotel for people of that kind of calibre.

DO NOT stay here if you're wanting to just relax on a Saturday Night / early hours Sunday morning, as there's bound to be clubby people like us staying there that will keep you awake with our dreadful singing! haha!

All in all, it's a great hotel for young clubbers, the staff are AWESOME, the rooms are clean and tidy, the bar is ace. Don't know what the food is like as we didn't eat there, nor did we make it up for Breakfast!! (suprise suprise!)

dont stay here

this as to be the worst place ever to stay the best thing to do is to STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL

Disorganised chaos reigns

from spirito5
Saw these reviews and rang the hotel to check our booking which they couldn't find - not a good start. Sorted out after an hour's worth of worrying. The owners and staff are very nice and very friendly but this isn't a cheap hotel and we didn't get value for money - it is a mediocre service. The cleaner must only be 4 feet tall, because anything higher than that just simply isn't dusted! The bedroom had a false ceiling, above which something could be heard crawling every day and night (could have been a seagull) - didn't want to know what it was. We are a gay couple and like others who have reviewed this hotel wanted to support this hotel - we were let down and were the only gay couple here. The food is between ok and really ok - though staff do forget your ordered dinner and might give you someone else's. The bar is a nice area - they've spent a lot of money on it - all credit to them. Didn't hear any dogs barking and as for Saturday night - don't expect any sleep. Sorry but won't be going back.

Top Local Tips for Blackpool

Amazing Amazing nightlife - but bring ID, you must have it to get in anywhere decent - whether you look18,25 or 35.

You can buy a pass We went for three days and did not know that you could buy a travel pass, which entitles you to get on the trams and buses from then on. Unfortunately we found this out on the last day :(

Harry Ramsden's fish and chips I'd avoid this place if I were you - there are always huge queues, the service is tremendously slow, and the food isn't great value for money in my opinion. Much better to buy fish and chips from somewhere else and eat them on the beach!
