I am a frequent visitor to the hotel and I always look forward to these visits. I have praised the food and told many of my friends about it. However, I do agree,with one of your reviewers who said the standard of food has slipped slightly this year. I feel this is a shame as the food was a great selling point for the hotel.

Poor food
First time at this hotel and it will be the last,the rooms were fine staff friendly,but food oh dear,soggy veg,one potatoe each plus a tray of chips,menu not inspiring at all. Quite often you would go to bar to find no one there and had to wait ages,entertainment was good though.

Fantastic
I have been coming to Park House since I was a baby with my mother, grandparents and uncle, and every time I have been satisfied. The staff are friendly and kind, the rooms are well equipped, the food is great and the decor is welcoming. In the past year I have visited, though, the food standards have slipped slightly and the television was broken. We reported this to staff, who simply told us that others had experienced this problem as well. They would try to fix it, they said. By the next night, it was up and running again. I have always enjoyed my weeks overall, though.

Beware
My wife and I spent five days at this hotel during which jewelery was stolen from a drawer in our bedroom. I reported the theft to the hotel management who seemed quite unconcerned about the matter. They promised to interview the staff, and then informed us that nothing further could be done.Needless to say it completely ruined our holiday. We would never return to this hotel.
Beware.
