Not to be slept in if soaber

Was part of a 17 man group ranging from 20 to 50. On arrival the first thing that hit us was the smell of damp, after being shown to our rooms, out of the four ground floor rooms there wasn't one that didn't have a problem, our room had no lights the toilet system was hangin off the wall no cups holes in the Walls and a door that wouldn't close without a kick the window was falling in half and the matress older than me, service was friendly enough but the breakfast was shocking no chance of a fey up just a "continental" breakfast was advertised which consisted of a 29 p carton of orange the smallest yoghurt in the world a banana and a ham and cheese cob! All for the tidy sum of 4.00 all I can say is I'm god I was wrecked when we got back in wouldnt use here again even if I had to sleep in a box! I wouldn't have minded the £40 pp if I'd have got a decent breakfast.

I have stopped at this motel a few times now, it is great, Always greeted with a smile, Prices are great, The service here is top quality, Have the option of B&B or just a room, Also they have Water beds and 4 Poster beds, Fantastic all round.

I was a member of a Hen Party - all ages - I have to say that I was glad that it was for only one night! (Saturday) The room was crammed - 5 sharing a double room - bunkbeds, double bed and single - the single bed blocking the wardrobe - or should I say cupboard?! In the bathroom there was a false eyelash stuck to the floor - from the previous occupant I presume. The bath panel at the edge of the bath was hanging off. The shower head was cracked which resulted in the water flowing over the top of the shower curtain. I was on the top floor - where there was a leak in the roof on the landing - so an upturned waste paper bin was placed! No information about what to do in an emergency. There were two light fittings in the bedroom - one of which was broken and one was lit by a 30 watt bulb! On the morning (Sunday) I arose expecting hot water for a shower - wrong! The water heater wasn't timed to come on until 9.00 a.m. - when surprisingly guests were due to have breakfast or miss out! Well I decided to wait and buy my breakfast out - glad I did from what was reported to me by other guests! The water eventually got warm. I am glad that I only had to bear a night in the place. I would not recommend it to anyone and would NEVER stay there again. I don't know who regulates the B & B's in Blackpool, but I hope that this is one that has slipped through the net and they catch up with it soon!

Wonderful home from home

From the moment my husband,granddaughter and I arrived and were greeted by the owner's daughter, Marion we felt at home. As I use a wheel chair our room was at the Mimosa rather than the main hotel, Emmanuel but we were able to have an English breakfast daily at Emmanuel.It was beautifully cooked by the owner, a lovely lady called Augusta. Each morning we chatted about our plans for the day and Augusta did all she could to find details of what was happening at the various venues we were interested in.When it came time for us to leave she even helped to pack our luggage into the car. It had been a lovely few days and our granddaughter was very sad to say goodbye so we hope we may be able to visit again one day.
