Me and my family have been going there for the past 10 years. We find it really good, great entertainment, satisfied with the rooms, the facilities are brilliant, the staff are always friendly. Very close to the main attractions (e.g. Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle Water Park). And it is a great value for money.

I dont know where the other folk were staying but it wasnt the grand. we stay ther every year for last ten and its so central, cheap slightly grotty but GREAT

Great time ruined

I found that the hotel was great, the swimming pool was fantastic, we were down every day! but the one thing that ruined my stay was a group of immature boys staying accross the halls, they even tried to kick our door down, and after we went and explained to the reception and explained what had happened, they said, 'was it really that bad?' which i found apalling. also the fire alarm went off at around 3 in the morning and when we rushed out of our room to see what had happened, it turned out that 2 guests were fighting and had bumped into the alarm and woke the full hotel up. to sum up, great hotel but poor staff and guests.

Miserable dirty death trap

On arrival we had to climb 4 sets of stair cases to get to our floor carrying a large suitcase and 3 bags between 2 of us, the place smelt foisty and looked like it needed a good clean! the staff were all miserable and spoke in a terrible manner, if that wasn’t bad enough we was then placed in the wrong flat, the door to the flat was very unsafe and unsecure we hardly left the flat for feeling insecure about our luggage, there were multiple death traps around the room to which my fiancé bruised and scratched his ankles from catching nails and wall boxes sticking out of nowhere (the doorways of all places)! Disgusting stains were left across the living room furniture and the heater was broken so was constantly on! Staff are completely useless, cleaning staff hardly ever did anything!
