The Doric provided an excellent base for exploring and enjoying the sights and facilities of Blackpool and the surrounding area. The food was excellent, the company really good, and as the weather was fine the outdoor pool was a real bonus. I will certainly use the Doric again.

I found the Doric Hotel to be the cleanest, most friendly Hotel I have visited. I found the food to be delightfully scrumscious and the service superb, a must place for any families.

Top Local Tips for Blackpool

Leave the car Use the tram You can purchase a 3 or 7 day ticket valid for unlimited travel on the sea front tramway service which is\ also valid on the buses. The tram stops right outside the hotel.

Blackpool over the new year Most of the shops and attractions are open over the new year. We didn't take a trip up to the pleasure beach so I don't know if it was open, but almost everything else was. The panto in the tower was good. It is a mixture of circus and panto- it worked really well.
