This was our 4th stay at Chequers and what a disappointment. There were only 3 staff on duty, and although they tried their best they could not cope. The entertainment was zero as there was none. We went into the dining room at 19.30 and got served at 2040, believe it or not the first course we were offered was dessert as they did not realise we had not even had our starter. Although we were told food was available 24 hours, at 22.30 one of our party asked for a sandwich and was told the person who cut the beef had gone home, THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!! We caught a taxi from the Tower back to Chequers and asked for "The Faulty Towers Hotel" and believe it or not the taxi driver knew where we meant, as he had some of the stories from other passengers.
In conclusion although the staff tried their best and as usual the Hotel was clean, the management just had no idea how to cope. We will never go back which is a shame, as we had up until this time enjoyed ourselves at Chequers.

I came to this hotel with my parents before it was done up and even before it was refurbished it was the most best and beautiful hotel in Blackpool. The food was brilliant, the view was just wonderful and the peaceful nights with it being up in the north was just lovely and also the staff where nice a very polite. I would say there was only a few bad things with it, the rooms where a little bit to hot,the entertainment was a bit poor even though there was bingo every night and there was't anything for kids at my age group (13-16)to do.Even though i did sneak in a few rounds of pool. But except all that it was marvellous.

This hotel was like staying in a 5 star hotel, everything from check in, staff, cleaniness, food & entertainment was top class. Would recommend this hotel to all age groups, fantastic.
