What a dump

We stayed as a group at the bond hotel in May of 2007. I never imagined that the negative reviews I had read on the internet would be so close to the mark. The owners have a total disregard to the comfort of the guests, anything they say to the contrary is a front. All they care about is making money above everything else. Collecting for 'charity' to help build their new hotel. Are they a registered charity? Scratch cards with Bogof holidays '''MR ATKINSON IF YOU CARED FOR YOUR GUESTS YOU WOULD HAVE NO VACANCIES, EVER'''''
Bad location

This is a hotel for wheelchairs only as there are so many you can't move around without bumping into one. You can't hear the cabaret for the noise everybody is making. The rooms were freezing cold and smelly. The bedding wasn't the best. The meals were nice but again too many people cramped into a restaurant and the noise was awful. Staff very friendly but very overworked. There was no car park therefore parking was on the pavements nearby. The outlook not good.

There are many angels that walk among us, at the Bond you will meet a few. Sean is the nicest man you could ever meet, his eyes twinkle and shine, his sister too has a smile for everyone. Their staff have a kind word in whatever they have to say. May God bless you and keep you safe. Me and my friends will be back in September x

What can I say? Or should I say what can I say!?
Firstly treated with no respect by Mr. Atkinson, he is a disgusting, repulsive con man. Pulling the wool over everybody's eyes, staff and guests alike. There is so much I could tell you, however due to reasons I cannot disclose I am unable too.
Please believe me the hotel and its staff are wonderful and treated my stay very well and we were made to feel very welcome, however Mr. Atkinson himself is repulsive and has his own agenda with the hotel. What seemed like an alcoholic and utter rude man, I urge people to not associate with him. He cares not for the disabled except only lining his own pocket. Absolutely outraged and disgusted. What a disgrace!!

You never quite know what to expect from a hotel that advertises "Caters for people with special needs." THE BOND HOTEL catered for all our special needs, the rooms were clean and tidy, the food was first class,(especially the extra bread rolls and toast) the entertainment was wonderfull. Staff and management could not have been more accomodating and considering the additional overheads that special needs service provission creates, the prices were spot on as well. Thank you to Sean, Jeanette and all your team. We will be back.

The hotels crumbling facade should have given clues to the quality of this establishment. We booked this hotel specifically because it catered for disabled guests, paying what we consider a premium tariff. The web site showed a certain degree of luxury, but in reality we entered the mental asylum film set of a 1960's horror movie. The misery of our stay there was compounded by the total lack of comfort, cleanliness and uninterested staff.I can safely say as a frequent guest of hotels across the country this is my worst ever experience.Am i alone in thinking, that disabled guests should be expected to suffer sub standard accommodation and service, whilst paying well above normal rates, just because their condition limits their options.
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Our stay at the BOND was horrific!! We shall not be returning. The entire staff except PJ our waiter in the dining room were mean, miserable and rude. The place is disgusting and unfit for a dog; I have reported this establishment to the health and hygiene authorities and will not be satisfied until it is shut down.!!!!!!!

Disabled access After the nightmare of the Bond we founnd other hotels in the area which were wheelchair friendly so it is worth shopping around. Many hotels now have an accessable room or can accomadate wheelchairs. Dont assume that because a place advertises itself as Disabled acccessable that it will have everything you need.
Beware of infections! Dont even dare!!
