Top Local Tips for Blackpool

January We went in January as there was a racing pigeon exhibition on and my boyfriend is heavily involved in racing so that was our primary reason for visiting that month. However, the weather is a bit wild in this month as you are exposed on sea front; this year there was gale force winds and last year it was absolutely freezing cold. However in saying that, there is plenty of life around the place in the pubs and restaurants and plenty of fun to be had!! But, I would recommend that visitors aim for a warmer and calmer month perhaps in the spring/summer, where they should also have the advantage of all the amusements being up and running!!

cashpoints be very wary as there were a lot of beggers hanging around the cashpoints in the evenings, i would advise you to get cash out in the day or pay by card.

Eating out After sampling the Indian cuisine at the hotel - head for Lytham where you'll find food that's not fish, chip or burger orientated
