We wanted a good hotel for our first weekend away together and this fit the bill perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful, attempting to get us a table in the resaurant even though we had left it much too late (after 9). We ate in the cafe instead which was OK. The food was good and the service excellent. The room was great, with a large bed and crisp linen. If there was anything to moan about, it would be how full the parking lot was. Would stay there again in a flash.

Top Local Tips for Baildon
Leeds and having tea and cake Go to the victorian arcade, walk to the bottom and there is the most exquisite and small open plan cafe/tea restaurant in the arcade. It serves the most delightful cakes. We felt as if we were in Venice or Rome. Wonderful !
Location Must have a car for this location. Locally Ilkley was a nice town.

The hotel was set in nice grounds and looked lovely and Christmasy as it had been snowing and was cold and frosty.
The Hotel room was a slight disappointment for me, it was small, no mini bar which I would expect in a Marriott class of hotel, no bottles of water and cheap looking toiletries in the bathroom. I also didn't like the fact that wi-fi cost £15 for 24 hours, in this class of hotel I would have thought it would be free or cost a lot less at least. After saying that the room and bathroom was clean and the bed very comfey.
Though I have to say I have stayed in Marriott before and the rooms have always been better than this one.
The food was excellent in the restaurant, with lots of choice on the menu, we were spoilt for choice. The price of the wine was very very expensive, £22.00 plus per bottle! which let it down somewhat.
The breakfast was excellent a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, pastries and a full English breakfast (self service so you could choose what you wanted).
The hotel staff were brilliant they couldn't do enough for us, especially the waiting staff in the restaurant.
The price we paid was very good for what we got included and I would recommend this type of break to couples young and mature, but in my opinion it is not one of the most luxurious Marriots I have stayed in, maybe the deluxe rooms would have been a better choice.
The break was good value for money though for a change of scenery.
