Top Local Tips for Ambleside

HISTORY A must is the Grasmere Gingerbread shop, the recipe a secret passsed down through generations. This is in Grasmere next to the Church. Visit Wordsworth Dove Cottage on the outskirts of Grasmere, also his house at Rydal Mount just a few miles away. Lovely walk round the lake at Grasmere for those that like the outdoors. Those that like jigsaw puzzels there is a shop in Grasmere and they must stock thousands i have never seen as many in one shop.

Restaurant Jumble Room was Great.

Gingerbread shop Must go and get some gingerbread, tastes like nothing you have ever had before.
