So we decided that the next time we come to Turkey we'll not be taking a package tour, will spend some decent time in Pamukkale (it's beautiful) and will definitely stay at this hotel.

Felt like visiting an old friend
from samsaysWhen we pulled up to the hotel, Karyn (who I had never met before or even talked to previously) came out to greet us like we were family.
Since Karyn knew I was a photographer and it was getting close to sunset, she arranged a driver to take me back to the terraces to make sure I got back in time - and you definitely want to be there at sunset! (in case you're interested you can check these and other pictures I took in the Aegean Region at http://www.samsays.com/AegeanRegion.htm)
Without my asking, Ibraham called our tour company to verify the car to the airport the next morning - AND also changed the time from 6:15 to 7 to give us more sleep, as this gave us extra sleep before our return back to HK.
OK, it is a small boutique hotel but it is conveniently located in the small village, and there was no TV or phone in the room, but Ibraham personally knocked on our door for our wake-up call
All in all, such wonderful touches, such friendly service and help, good food and super location that I whole-heartedly recommend it to any traveler spending a night or longer in Pamukkale

from ttravel_lisaPamukkale is a small town and it is pretty close from Denizli which is main city. There are minibuses every 20 minutes from bus station.
I would stay there again and again ...
Truly Charming Hotel
from nativnewyorkerA Great little respite
from Traveller-in-joyThe room and the meals were faultless and everything we could have wished for in a small Hotel.
The place was well situated to visit the Travertines.
Best place to stay in Pamukkale
from TravelerEBwe loved it!
from RuthiclesThe food is delicious and the swimming pool a bonus because it doesn't reek of chemicals.
Ibrahim, his brother and Karen were a great source of information which we made full use of and rather than shlepp to Efes for the day we were advised to see Aphrodisia instead and were delighted we did.
I would stay here again en route to somewhere because it was so good. Thank you everyone at the Venus
Wonderful!!!
from globedecker.Highly recommended
from mangafasHard beds, but still wonderful!
from GregduMy worries were for naught, as it turns out, and the hosts of the hotel are lovely, welcoming, and very helpful. As others have said, the food served at their restaurant was just about the best we had during our entire trip, its not hyperbole! We met some other nice people staying and the hotel, and overall had a lovely time there. Its a pity that Pamukkale doesn't seem to have more to offer these days, the travertines are pretty much dry and sad, otherwise it'd be nice to spend more time here. When you figure that a room, breakfast, and dinner for 2 including a bottle of wine was approx $65, how can you complain? It was a delightful surprise and I recommend it highly. It was a memorable part of our trip.
They do prefer that you pay in cash, so be noted of that.
My only 2 issues were the hardness of the beds (not unexpected, I must add) and the pool looked a little iffy... I think it was the chemicals in the water and not algae, but you couldn't see the bottom of the pool... it would've been nice to have a dip after a long day, but we didn't chance it. If not for those 2 things, I'd have given an 'excellent' rating.
Top Local Tips for Pamukkale
Ancient Pool near Travertines You can take a look at the hot pool in the building at the top of the terraces without paying admission to it - the cashier at the entrance sells admittance to the pool itself, but entrance to the building is free since that is the only place allowed to serve food and beverages on top. Had I known this, I would have gone in, seen what the pool looked like (smaller than I expected, and unpleasantly crowded in August) and saved myself a hefty admission fee.
See the sunset from the travertines As our hosts accurately informed us, the admission ticket to the travetines and Hierapolis is good for 24 hours, so you can go up into Hierapolis for the sunset view from the travetines and return the next morning to visit the site at greater length. The Hierapolis site itself is not very well interpreted. If you want to get more out of it than we did, buy and read a guide before you enter the site.
Pamuakkale This was our second trip to Pamukkale. We loved this natural wonder so much 12 years ago, we decided to vist it again with our kids. Time has really paid a price to this area. 12 years ago it was amazing to climb arounds the wonderful blue pools on the cliffs. Today most of the pools closed off to the public and there is no water in them. The do have some man made pool and you are able to go in them. Sitting by the filled pools on the west side of the cliffs is a wonderfule spot to watch the sunset. The thermal pool is fun to vist and swim in, but is does get crowed when all the big tourist buses pull in. It also an additional fee to go in. Ruins are fun to walk through. Be aware that the pictures you see in books and posters of Pamukkale are not really what it looks like today. We were a bit disappointed by how time had taken is toll on the town and the pools. The town is basically hotels, resturants, markets and a couple of tourist shops.

We were doing a round trip from Bordrum, to Pamukkale where we stayed over night then on to Ephesus and back to Bodrum by car.
We had a look in a few hotels before deciding on the Venus.
They made us feel very welcome, the rooms were freshly decorated and very comfortable. The food was excellent and plentiful.
Highly recommend this hotel.
