I think it is the people we encounter along the way, that make your trip interesting. My husband and I were traveling across Turkey making various stops. We encountered Memduh, a friendly young man on the small bus heading to Pamukkale. Since we were not planning to stay the night he offered us a place to keep our bags while we went to the Travertine's. Well, as luck would have it we ran out of daylight and decided to stay. I really enjoyed their company and family atmosphere. So, if you are looking for friendly people in a real Turkish environment come to their place. They combine clean rooms, great food and warm friendly service.

Top Local Tips for Pamukkale

Pamukkale is a bargain beyond compare, family and single and tourist. Only 5 Lira entrance fee 24/7. The facilities at the spa are great and the waters amazingly health giving and healing. Some of the most magical waters anywhere. Pamukkale is a photgraphers dream come true, sunrise and sunset, especially as the cliffs face south so all day from sunrise to sunset it is photogenic. Go to sections where there are no tourists to take pictures of the cliffs, but the tourists are a gas... You've GOTTA spend a day just taking pictures of the tourists, another of the place and a third of Hierapolis. Kids love it. They will amuse themselves all day, any age from 3-4 on up to 18-19. No worry about this is BORING! Any age any culture and any social background are welcome and at home here. The whole area has a wide range of special antique cities as well.
