the food was terrible very little for scottish people the room we were given on ground floor was for disabled people wery high toilets noise in morning was loud from unloading went when ramadan was in progress people pushed there way to front of food so was forced to wait for hour to get food

The Hotel is in the center of Turunc and split up in two parts on both sides of the main street. The main Hotel is on the main street and the other by the beach with the pool. The rooms are basic but clean but hot water was only available after about 17:00. Most meals had a good choice of salad but the choice of main meal was take it or leave it. The meals themselves were of good quality but don't expect chips with
everyting as most are Turtish, we stopped for two weeks and the second week was a repeat of the first but you have a good choice of resturants outsde the Hotel. A cheap but good restaurant was next to the petrol station where fresh trout can be had for 8 lire (about £3.20). The Mosque is just over from the Hotel so you can expect to hear the call for prayers 5 times a day. Staff were freindly and problems we had were sorted out very quickly. Turunc is a quiet village town with freindly people to give you a nice peaceful and relaxing holiday, if you have not been before check out a serch for turunc village where you can view a virtual tour of Turunc if you get the right site. The beach slopes quite steeply after a few feet to a pebble sea bottom and would not recommend it for small children. The local dolmus service to Icmeller or Marmaris runs every 30 min and is 4 Lire whether you get off at Icmeller or Marmaris. The taxi boat back from Marmaris is nice way to return from a day out at 7.5 Lire.

taxis/ ferries taxis are in the centre of town and are very cheap and the ferries are well worth going out on for a couple of trips, some are communitty co-op run and are excellent value
