Me and my boyfriend got back not long ago and the hotel was great. Free air conditioning all week, a fridge and English TV in the room, and was very clean. Food wasn't up 2 much and wasn't on all day. But there were restaurants close by, the staff were very friendly and would often sit with us but nighttime entertainment was not very good same music played over and over, and the entertainment lasts half an hour at the most. The best place to go if you want clubs is the beachfront. It had some of the best clubs I've ever seen and it is very lively.

We stayed in the Green Abacus Hotel for 1 week in August! Our room were imaculate and we were given fresh towels and bedding everyday! The food was great apart from breakfasts it would have been good to have had a better varity, but there were lots of other resturants round about where we were able to go for breakfast! The hotel staff were very friendly and were always helpful when we needed anything. Many of the came and spoke to us though out the day and were fun to be around, my only fault with the hotel was the depth of the main swimming pool it was to deep for young children and for myself who isnt a strong swimmer. the surrondings of the hotel were very good there are lots of pubs with entertainment at night and loads of shops to go to. i enjoyed my stay at the Green Abacus loads and would recommed it to everyone!!!

We got there and thought ‘oh not very nice', but after a few hours you get use to it. The workers were really nice and pleasant and often sat down and chatted with me and my girlfriend. Entertainment was good but played same CD every day. Had break dancers and belly dancers at night, bingo quiz and just a genuine good time. Shops, bars and restaurants within 2 mins of hotel. If you win bingo or quiz or killer pool they want a tip off you, but weren't that bad because they gave you a good time. Really miss the hotel and staff. Go for it. Really good holiday.

Not value for money, children not very well catered for eg Park run down,no entertainment day or night, pay for icecreams.Local drinks very poor choice spirits Vodka,Whisky if you dont like these you pay for others. All inclusive very different in Turkey. Have to vacate the pool area at 6pm so they can put tables out for evening meal bearing in mind still nice, hot & sunny. Food same old stuff.Rooms basic, wouldn't go back to this hotel Not many people actually had a good word for it while we were there.Makes you wonder why its been re-named ps one good point maid service excellent

Worst Hotel in Turkey?

Me and a friend recently had a week in a Marmaris hotel "the Green Abacus". On arrival at the hotel after a 4 hour plane delay and a round trip of 16 hours we get there at 9:30pm only to be told there was no room available yet as they were cleaning it. It took over an hou for them to get their act together. We got in the room only to relive our aching bowls and the toilet over flowed thus putting poo every wear. They fixed this 2 hours later. The room itself was beond basic and reminded us of a hostel. Dreadful colour scheme, ripped seats, 2 dirty towels, no soap, sand on bed sheets, rips on bed, non working TV, lights not working, and finally mucky floors.
The hotel itelf has the worst facilities, it claims to have 3 bars but only has 1 that is swarming with wasps. A really small pool with 3 umbrellas and 12 seats. It really was a joke. The staff were ignorent, slow, spoke poor english, and generally had no interpersonal skills.
We went all inclusive, BIG MISTAKE! you are limited to beer or shorts, cocktails were chargeable, as were wines, and energy drinks. The food was basically slop, i have never see such a small selection on an all inc, 4 options and that was it, dry warm salads. I like foreign food and was disguested to see "nuggets & chips every day for lunch, and chicken/Turkey & wedges for dinner. I would not have paid £10 pound to stay there let alone £300, it was a discrace in comparisson to our friends hotels. Strongly advise to avoid at all costs.

Went to the Abacus Green with my husband. Onur Air was an ok. We had a fabulous time. The hotel is clean. The rooms admittedly are quite basic. The food is not British. But if we wanted burger and chips we would have gone to Scarborough. It was a pleasure dealing with the staff at hotel. And there was a fab group of welsh people in our hotel.

Let us start by pointing out that these people that say they had a rubbish time or are moaning about the smallest of things must be boring people and expected the world of what was a very very cheap holiday, if you expect the world, pay for it. This holiday and hotel destination is great if you are looking for a lazy week or 2 away from your day to day life. The staff where fantastic, the rooms very clean, plenty shade if you are to hot, food basic and ok but plenty places around if you want to eat out.
Even thou you do pay for an all inclusive holiday it is infact a soft inclusive. You do get local beer, wine and spirits from 10am and 11pm but the food is set at certain times - breakfast 7:30 - 10am - dinner - 12:30 - 2pm, tea 7:30pm - 9pm but between theses times nothing is available to eat apart from the near by pubs which can get expensive depending on what you are looking for. I would recommend Uncle sams for breakfast - full british breakfast @ £2.00 hotel for lunch and Adore (bit of a walk) for tea. Sadly, there is nothing to do for kids apart from the pool, there is a swing park but not really that much of a park to be honest. Martin (local DJ) has a stand that has Crap FM on, it does live up to the name with mostly the same cd's getting played all week so if you looking for tunes, please take your own as he will play them. The guys behind the bar - Sonay, Memet, Hakan, Thomas (manager), Little Thomas (managers cousin) very polite and are up for a laugh (got them in the pool as well.
There is also one other member of staff to mention and that is Mesut (photo, Photo guy) what a really nice guy he is, taking pictures is his game and is very very good at them, they are a bit pricey (£40.00)but are worth it at the end of the holiday should you get good enough tan. I would certainly be returning when I look for a lazy holiday and not wanting to pay that much but get a good laugh while there

I came here with my mum and we were scared of coming because of the reviews we had read and because of what people had said about turkey, but it has been our best holiday yet. The staff are great the best thing about this hotel I would say was them, especially the bar staff. The food wasn't fantastic but I am a very fussy eater and I ate allot of it apart from when I wasn't feeling good and the manager went out the back to get chicken soup especially for me even though it wasn't on the menu. We didn't always have water and when we did it was cold a lot of the times but who needs a hot shower when the weather is so hot! We will definitely be coming back later this year, can't wait to see everyone again.

Top Local Tips for Marmaris

dolmus these were great! We were in armulatan area so nowhere near the beach or town but dolmus stop just at end of street. get the number 2 dolmus say beach/town get off at burger king/mcdonalds(last stop) your're in town.(takes about 5-10 minutes) All for one lira(50p) Goin to Icmeler? do as above then hop straight on to orange icmeler bus at same stop.
