Dont let them pester you... Istnabul is full of the most fantastic people in the world, however there are a lot of people that will befrind you only to waste 3 hours of your time to sell you rugs. If anyone comes up to you on the street and is too friendly or really insists on helping you out, even if you dont need it then walk away. We found out (on the last day of course) that a simple " we already bought one" works VERY well with the rug dealers and gets them off your chest!!

Do remember to bargian at Grand Bazaar! I bought two nice scarfs in Grand Bazaar that cost me 70 Turkish Lira together. But to be frank, the first price the seller gave me was 200 lira each. This is unbelievable, I have to say.
