Top Local Tips for Istanbul

Men! Ladies: expect to be hassled - especially if your travelling without a man! Its mostly good natured - but it can wear you down. Some of the men are extremely persistent - others, including the George Clooney look-a-likey from the Tie Shop in the Grand Bizzarre have buckets full of charm!

Really lovely terrace reteraunt Following our trusted lonely planet guide, we headed north of the horn and went to a reteraunt called 'Nu Terrace'. Its on the 8th floor with breathtaking views over Istanbul. Its very modern and chic but quite expensive so we just had cocktails rather than a meal. Get there for sunset- it will be unforgettable. The service was quite slow though so be warned.

Turkish Bath Please try it.... Very secure and catering a bit to tourists is Cemberlitas in Sultanahmet.
