Pet adoption and plane boarding I wasn't shopping for cat - Istanbul just happens to have proliferate cute furries everywhere, and I took to one. With translation help from my hotel, I learned: Turkish Airlines will allow you to fly with an animal in a pet crate with vet certification (not all airlines accomodate pets). A vet said that blood work has to be sent to Ankara and takes 10 days total to get the certification. I hope this information helps in case your heart goes for one of the dogs or cats in Turkey. (You can also get affordable pet carriers at the pet section in Istanbul's Spice Market).

Cappadocia is the only place I've actually been to so far. I thought it was fascinating and really enjoyed exploring the cave houses and the hikes. I've heard wonderful things about Pamukkale too. If you're going to be in Greece, you'll see plenty of ruins and so Ephesus might just be a little repetitive, but the area down there is beautiful. You may want to look into flying Pegasus airlines (flypgs.com) to Greece or finding maybe a boat? Have fun on your trip!
