Top Local Tips for Istanbul

Peyote, my favorite club in Istanbul Peyote is my favorite club in Istanbul, locatet only 10 minutes from Taxim Square. First floor have a dance floor playing electronic music, great wibe. Second floor are a small consert venue with mostly alternative rock and on the roof top you have lots of tables and some great cheese sticks :-)Great service and international custumors. Tours of Istanbul Our first day in Istanbul, we booked a group, half day bus tour, of some main sights of Istanbul, ( Aghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.) through the hotel. It turned out to be a large tour operator which booked through many hotels, and a lot of time was spent switching buses and organizing the groups by language, etc. The guide was a huge disappointment: did not give much information, was on his cell phone, etc. The second day, we took a taxi to our main sight (Topkapi Palace) and found a guide at the entrance. It was a bit more expensive, but well worth it . We had an informed, educated guide for two intense hours and then continued with some of the exhibits and museums within the palace, on our own w/ help of our guidebook.
