We arrived at about 3 in the morning to be greeted by the man at reception whose first comment was "welcome to paradise" to which I replied " I hope so" he was wrong. Before I begin I must say that I had a fantastic holiday but unfortunately that was due to who I was with and had nothing to do with the hotel itself. There is no minibar, at least not in the way most of us think of them, there is in fact a small empty fridge (ours was moldy and did not work) so if you arrive as we did in the middle of the night take something to drink with you as all of the water points in the hotel are emptied at night. If you have booked a pool view room you may have a fight on your hands. After complaining about being stuck overlooking the main road and hearing the music from the numerous clubs and bars situated opposite our room I was finally told by our very rude and quite aggressive rep that I would get no help from the people at reception and if I wanted a pool view a was "welcome to take a photo of the pool stick it on my window and look at that for a week". (Yes he really said that). the shower was moldy, we had a nice visit from a cockroach in the bathroom, the telephone didn't work, we had power cuts, the air-conditioning sounded like a it should have had British rail written on the side, their were holes in the walls and the sockets hung off revealing the wires behind, oh yeah and our curtains fell down. If you think you have booked for seven nights the chances are you will only be allowed to stay for six as they were kicking people out of their rooms a night early and when they were asking the question of where they should sleep that night they were told they could sleep in reception or on a sunbed by the pool. Apart from the staff at reception and of course our lovely rep all the other staff could not have been nicer and the pool area was lovely if a little slippery oh yeah and avoid the water slid it's a death trap. If you are thinking of booking this hotel DONT and if you already have good luck and try and do what we did keep your sense of humour and try and laugh about it Remember its not where you are its who you're with (and hopefully you meet someone who has a villa near by.)
