Of the many hotels and places I have stayed, (From Seoul Korea to Moscow Russia, for business or pleasure, this is at the top of the list. Friendly accommodating and concerned and dedicated management and staff at all levels, from the manager Cenap to Tula the concierge to the men at the desk to the lady who does the rooms. You have arrived at "home" when you stay here. I could not stay anywhere else in Istanbul when I go there.
The negative? Whether we flagged a taxi, or it was arranged by the hotel, we were ALWAYS cheated on the fare. Maybe they should have their own car? Or find a company that has reliable drivers.

Top Local Tips for Istanbul

shopping with out the hounding Get the obligatory sights out of the way then go across the Galata Bridge and enjoy the stroll...without the men chasing you down.The Orient Cafe at the Train Station was a very fun place to have a drink and look at the pictures.

Avoid Taxis or Driving Traffic in Istanbul is terrible. It can take a very long time to get anywhere by car or taxi. Luckily, there is a solution. The tram system is cheap, efficient, quick, and easy to use. A trip that might take an hour by car may take 10 minutes by tram.
