We loved our friends at Alzer. I have never met such wonderful and warm hotel staff. We were welcomed as family members and treasured patrons. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Hopefully, they will always remember how much the Ammericans appreciate their warmth, understanding and kindness. Istanbul is an incredible city steeped in culture, tradition and most importantly hospitality.

Top Local Tips for Istanbul

Day Trip Take the Bosphorous tourist ferry from Eminonu up to Anadolu Kavagi. Have lunch then take a taxi up the the ruined castle and enjoy the views of the Black Sea.

Airport Taxi At the airport ignore the people in the arrivals hall stating they are official taxi drivers. They wanted 90ytl to the centre (50+ Euro). I took a normal taxi from outside the terminal - 30ytl
