'Holiday with a Difference'

We have just returned from a wonderful ‘Holiday with a Difference'. We stayed at the Kismet Cave Hotel in Goreme, Cappadocia. The Hotel owner, Faruk, was welcoming, generous and helpful. As a person who has always lived in Goreme, he was able to advise us, and often take us to some of the amazing sights. The hotel was in a ‘fairy chimney' characteristic of the area. It was within walking distance of the bus station. We did make the mistake of booking the hotel through an Agent here, much cheaper to have gone through the hotel's own website. We also booked tours and a balloon ride in Istanbul for our stay in Goreme. Again a mistake. Faruk could have booked, at a much better price. Recommend emailing him or phoning him. He speaks good English.

It was a nice sunny Hot day when we arrived to Goreme, (Heart of Cappadocia).. When we stepped in to our Hotel, I was shocked. Awesome natural cave rooms carved in to huge tuf rocks, but filled with ultra high luxury it seems pricy but for the first year they kept their room prices very low, I paid 150$ per night, included breakfast, and dinner and unlimited wine from the fountains.. Staff at the hotel, they were very friendly but General Manager he was very annoying, I don't even remember his name, sooner or later sounds like that, for a high class hotel, I was expecting someone more presentable and more class , but this person he can't even speak English, worst then street vendors. When I stop by again next year, I hope I wouldn't be able to see him again. But if you'll ever go there just relax and enjoy the beauty of the hotel, Bon Voyage....

Great Atmosphere

When I arrived I was shocked with the view... I felt like I am in Fairy Tale... 5 or 6 huge fairy chimneys connected with each other each room filled with ultra high luxury.. I guess at least 4000 years old ancient goods in every room. Most unforgettable part of this hotel having your glass of vine in Jacuzzi and watching the sky from glass sealing... woww wooww waoww.. I highly recommend this hotel. Next summer I'll be there again...

don't miss the underground city(ies!) ...and make sure you get a tour guide - it will add a lot of value!!

Yaba daba Doo! Do visit the various bars / restaurants in the area pretty cute! Also dont forget to rent a bike and have a great trip in some of the best landscapes one can come across
