The Sultan Palas Hotel is a charming, secluded family run Hotel outside the bustle of Dalyan Village – we thought we had arrived in paradise!! Arriving during the night from Dalaman Airport and whisked across the river in total darkness on the hotel riverboat we couldn’t have dreamed up the scene that awaited us the following morning. As we stepped out of our room onto the balcony, the views of the surrounding countryside and the landscaped gardens and pool were amazing. The peace is overwhelming and it is hard to know whether to share this special discovery! The previous tongue in cheek review is amusing. It seems that many of the guests are previous visitors and we shall certainly return. Nothing is too much trouble for the very considerate staff. The food is wonderful and the variety and selection of mezzes – different each evening were amazing. The Hotel is only a short trip from Dalyan on the Hotel riverboat along the most beautiful stretch of river past the unspoiled......

It was awful. Don't go. Worst hotel I've ever been to. Small, not enough rooms, terrible food, quiet, out of the way. First hotel I'll ever go back to, again and again, but only to check if it gets any better.

Our first visit to the Sultan Palas Hotel in Dalyan was in 2004 & we have recently returned from our third visit. This dedicated family business continues to amaze us - just the right balance between natural charm & wonderful innovative improvements. Since our last visit to the hotel, there have been new bathrooms installed throughout, a new outdoor restaurant built, a new hotel boat plus we travelled in style to & from the river in a brand new Minibus - all of these things have just added to the comfort & enjoyment of our visit & experience to this very special hotel with its wonderful staff & surroundings. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Our search for a small family run Hotel in Dalyan revealed a hidden gem. The Sultan Palas Hotel was recommended to us by friends of friends – you know how it is - and we discovered that several guests at the Hotel had stayed there before.
When we were told of the past history and sympathetic improvements it all added to the feeling that we were part of an extended family at a private house party.
Our expectations were exceeded – the photographs on the website don’t do justice to this idyllic hideaway and the 20 minute trip cruising along the beautiful stretch of river to Dalyan on the Hotel boat just initiated the relaxing start to our holiday.
We were cautiously dubious about booking a hotel on the opposite side of the river to Dalyan but this was part of its charm and tranquillity.
Everything went smoothly. Nothing was left to chance - from ease of booking in the UK to being met on our arrival at Dalman Airport then being whisked off to the Hotel by the energetic......

Whilst the hotel is in a lovely location and the staff are friendly and helpful, it leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel bus is a death trap and would not be allowed to carry building materials on site in the UK. It was filthy and falling to bits, as it did on one occasion. The boat used to ferry guests to and from Dalyan is as bad if not worse. The floor boards are in pieces and some of the timbers are rotten. It was an embarassment to be seen in. The food was just about acceptable and monotonous. Ourselves and other guests came to the conclusion that the hotel was being run on a shoestring. We will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel.
