We stayed in Anzac Hotel on December 25th and 26th, 2005 in our trip to the Historical Gallipoli Peninsula and the ancient city Troia. The hotel has a very convenient location in the center of the city 'Canakkale' adjacent to a historical clock tower. We were just a minute walk away from the harbour. The decoration of the hotel was very nice including several art works with regards to Gallipoli and Troy. The room was also very clean and comfortable including a/c, TV, satelite receiver with hundreds of channels, and internet connection. There was also a free internet unit in the lobby. The buffet breakfast was fairly well. Finally the staff was friendly. On the other hand we found the city 'Canakkale' very attractive with lots of university students. There are several places to visit around Canakkale but Gallipoli and Troy can be considered the top two spots. We have also stayed 1 night in Assos which is about 100 km away from Canakkale. Assos can also be considered a very impressive spot with its ancient city ruins including Athena Temple at the top of the city.
