We loved the Hotel - staying in October, when the weather was virtually perfect and long sunny days were followed by relaxing meals at the Su.

You must meet Zafer - the man in charge who is full of stories and has lots of knowledge about Turkey and Bodrum in particular. We also liked Ali who is the assistant manager, who will do anything to help and assit you when you are in the Hotel. Not to forget Lulu, the cat, who even has his own postcards.

The hotel is appproached along a narrrow passageway and you will notice the river of tiles. You go into the Hotel through a bright blue gate and then the splendour of the Hotel is revealed as firstly you see lots of planting and colour and then the pool appears. It's great for just lazing around the pool - there is no need to go anywhere else!

We enjoyed people watching in Bodrum. There are lots of cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by. My favourite cafes are the ones overlooking the harbour beside the castle, where you see lots of people coming from the ferries to Kos and the local population going about it's business punctuated by departing boats. Love it.

The Hotel is not pricey at around 80 Euro per night - you get a clean minimal room with good beds and great showers coupled with soft big towels. Don't expect a trouser press and teles and phones because they are just not there. There is access for the PC, so it is possible to keep in touch.

We were greeted at the airport by the hotels' driver in a new mini bus - as the Hotel is not easy to find so we thought that was worth the money.

This is a super hotel, don't tell everyone because it may get too busy!

Top Local Tips for Bodrum

one attraction only Bodrum is essentially a very touristy place with the only real attraction being the Museum on the top of hill overlooking Bodrum. One night would have been sufficient. The restaurants cater to English tourists ie full English breakfast is advertised on the bill boards of most restaurants / cafes.

Must see beaches Go to: Ortakent, Gümü?lük, Bitez. Also take one of the various boat trips available which includes visits to the bays surrounding Bodrum.
