Great hotel - shame about the food
We've just come back from a week in La Blanche which is a lovely hotel. We were there during a heatwave where the temperatures were mid 40s everyday so the sun loungers on the jetties out to sea were a welcome relief - even if you did have to grab them early to ensure you got an umbrella. They were also away from the main pool so we didn't have the hassle of constant aqua aerobics and volley ball tournaments. There were two groups of English holidaymakers staying there so I'm a bit annoyed that First Choice did not let us know that we would be very much isolated and surrounded by groups of Dutch, German and Eastern European holiday makers. The rest of the town has loads of English hotels though so you will have to leave the comfort of all inclusive and head to town for entertainment as it's dead at the hotel at night. The staff do love the English though as they say that we smile and the others dont - just as well seeing as our rep was never about. The staff did not understand much Engl...Read more

Great Hotel
Superb hotel.100% recommended.Cant understand why people complain about the food. If they expect roast beef & two veg on a Sunday why not try a hotel in Blackpool. The food was excellent and very varied. The staff were always on hand to help and we had no difficulty in making them understand. Why do people always expect staff to talk English, whilst they themselves never try to learn another language. If you required anything such as a doctor, which we did,we found that actually asking at reception if a doctor was on call brought a positive reply. The only reason that we did not give this hotel a 10 was because the hairdresser charged in Euros where the rest of the hotel was in Lira. He also did extras without mentioning the price or telling you what he was doing. The final bill was a lot higher than the original quote. The hotel is well positioned on the beach and within easy reach of Bodrum and all the local beaches. If you are loking for a great hotel then look no further.

Great Hotel, Shame About The Other Guests
Me and my partner recently travelled to Turkey to review hotels. On arriving at the La Blanche Hotel on the 6th June we were promptly told that we were the first English guests to stay at this hotel (the hotel only opened a couple of days before)!! The rooms in this hotel are massive!!! I originally thought that we were given a suite because the room had a seperate living area, but soon found out that our room was standard. This hotel does not cater for the english clientele very well with the food, it is mainly suited to the russians and germans (hence the title of this review)!!! We were the only english guests staying at this hotel which was a bit off putting. If you are english and you do decide to stay at this hotel, you can be sure that the staff (particuarly the bar staff) will bend over backwards to help you, they love the english guests as we are polite, unlike the russians and germans!!! Overall this hotel lives up to it's 5 star award, it's just the other guests that let the...Read more

As above 5 star Accomodation, 3 star Management
In my previous entry, the total rating was incorrect. 3 out of 10 was not intended, 7 out of 10 would be fairer.
We enjoyed our holiday even though we were very isolated, and right now, with our pleasant memory's, would happily be back there.
