The hotel was brilliant it couldn't have got it cleaner. The staff were very polite and helpful. They never once looked down on you. Animation team were fantastic. I was amazed that they could speak so many different languages. The food was great, but basic. You couldn't have got any better entertainment. We had Dinner at 8pm then went to the outside bar at 9pm and there were a band playing. Then at 10pm the show started and finished at 11pm then at 12am the club opened were there were 2 different Dj's playing on different nights. There was that much going on at night. You didn't have to venture out of the hotel to enjoy yourself. The tranceport to bordum town was fantastic. The mini bus comes right out side the hotel and comes every 15-20 mins.

It was my first holiday abroad with friends and not family and i will never for get it. I wish I was still there. I couldn't have asked for a better holiday. I'm planning to come same time next year if all is well.
Fantastic holiday!!!!

Hotel Kervansaray in Torba – Bodrum is an absolute brilliant place. We have just got home after a lovely week there and I wish I were still there. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the Animation Team are amazing, absolutely hilarious, but very professional. There is a kids club, and pool entertainment in the daytime, a kid's Disco 8:30pm and a show or competition every night at 10:00pm. The Shows were my favorite, I've never laughed so much the humour is centred towards adults but still being very funny for the children to watch. The Animation manager and team are very talented and I've never heard people speak so many different languages. I give the Animation team 10/10, the hotel 9/10 the rooms 7/10 this is because they are slightly basic, but immaculately clean, new towels every day. Food 7/10 there is enough for everyone and plenty to choose from and you don't have to queue, but I give it 7/10 because children could do with there own little section with kids stuff like fish fingers, chicken nuggets beans etc as there is not always much choice for them especially if you have a child who doesn't like food in sauces etc. The snack bar between 12 – 5 has burgers, chips, hotdogs, cheese toasties, jacket potatoes, pizza, spaghetti bolognaise and salad. The beer served is Tuborg that my partner wasn't fussed about, as he prefers the Efes, Oh yes before I end just as a warning if you are not great on your legs I would definitely give it a miss, the hotel is on the side of a hill so it is up and down to all apartments, but on a whole the place is Brill, and we will be definitely going back in the near future.
Hotel more suitable for younger people

Beautiful hotel, built on a cliff, therefore hilly, and plenty of stairs. Food and service in dining places, excellent. Not enough lighting in rooms. Take your own soaps, those provided are of an inferior quality, and the minimum is provided. Entertainment mediocre.
Great staff, top animation team, brill**********************

We have had holidays in other locations on an all inclusive basis but this must be the best ever. The food was fantastic with numerous choices and service is exemplary. The cleanliness of the hotel and areas is of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all aspects of our holiday from reception, bar staff, waiters, and swimming pool staff. The entertainment was entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed our first Turkish Bath and massage and my visit to the hairdresser gave me no concerns at all!! We had our first para sailing experience and felt completely safe and thoroughly enjoyed the sights from above and having the wind cool down our very hot bodies!! We will be booking again and look forward to meeting all the friends we made with the hotel staff.

Fantastic First Time!

from strakermm1
As it was my daughter's first holiday abroad we were very unsure about what was best for her, after hearing so many great reviews we decided to give Turkey a go, I disn't know a lot about the hotel before the trip and it was a fantastic suprise when we arrived, with a transfer of only 30mins!! The resort itself was Huge and in some places quite hilly but there was a buggy service provided! All the Staff were soo Friendly without exception, The evening and daytime entertainment was very good too!! The Food was ok and there was a lot of choice! Cleanliness of the resort was fab, our room was cleaned every day and all the facilities were clean and tidy!
Without a doubt the best holiday i've ever had!

best holiday we ever had

from phoneet
first time in turkey ,on arrival we were taken to or room by golf buggy an the staff were very pleasant.the food was excellant drink was on offer all day an coffee was all so at the bar all day. an u got a bus at the hotel gate to bodrum for 2 lera all on all great dont book at the beginning of may as this is a turkish holiday,an the turkish younge people r know to party at the hotel next door an can be tense. but going back late may next year.

never again!

from EnglandCurly
What a disappointment! Having been to Turkey 6 times before and NEVER had a bad holiday this one spoilt it completely. First we were crammed in a 2nd floor room meant for 2 - with our daughter's camp bed (yes 5* and she had a camp bed!) placed across the bottom of our beds and blocking all access to the balcony, which was a good job really as we were on the 2nd floor with a railing of no more than 3ft high and a drop to concerete. Food was not brill - certainly not Turkish - apart from the 1 Turkish night - food never hot and a bit like a school canteen. The reserving of sun-beds was terrible - towels on beds before 6.00am and, even though there were signs up saying towels would be removed, this only occured twice and if you were then unlucky enough to sit on a bed that had had the towel removed by the pool staff then you were faced with a barrage of abuse from the towel owners! Not advisable to go if you like to be surrounded by Brits - ok for us but not our 4 year old who was the only English speaking child for the first 2 days and, after speaking to a couple who were flying out on the day we arrived, we discovered that their child had been the only English child there for the whole of the previous week. Beach area was lovely - a lot quieter than the pool and more chance of a bed. Good dolmus service to Bodrum but nothing between the hotel & Bodrum except a busy main road - so no good if you wanted to escape and walk to a local bar

Fantastic Holiday!!!!!!

from lauryloo1986
Have just returned from this hotel and we had a fantastic time!!!

The weather was great and hotel was really good. The staff were fantastic. Entertainment team were great they were on the go all day long but still put on a fantastic show in the evening and even went down to the disco with us afterwards.

Food was good. Two A la carte restaurants and one main buffet restaurant and a snack bar. You could eat all day if you really felt the need.

There were not many english people at this hotel however, the majority were belgian and the sunbeds round the pool were taken before 7 o'clock every morning, There were notices around the hotel towards the end of our stay advising that anything used to reserve sunbeds before 9am would be thrown away so that may have improved but that was the main bug bear of the holiday!!!

lots of fun

from TottyT1972
We stayed for a week in june. The weather was great, the resort was lovely. It had great facilities and the staff were really helpful. The animation team on resort were really friendly and kept holiday makers entertained throughout the day and evenings. They made our holiday lots of fun. The food was lovely and had plenty of variety. We will definately be returning in the future. The only warning i will give is that if you if you want a resort that serves english food and you want to be surrounded by other brits then this prob isn't the place for you as the resort caters for all nationalities and the brits were out numbered, not that it bothered us as we had a great holiday.

Wonderful holiday

from megansangary
I went for a week holiday in May 2008 with my boy friend via Thomas cook.
Thomas Cook let us down as they offered us a room with sea view in the main building but it was all lies as the manager of the resort said they don't have such an offer with Thomas Cook and if we want to have one of those room should pay £20per night per person
The resort is lovely and we really liked it .
The only problem with this resort is staff, they are friendly but if there is a problem it will take ages till they sort it out . Fridge inside the room was not functioning and we reported it everyday still not been fixed even when we left, we were lucky everything was inclusive so we could have drink every second so we didn't bother with the fridge.
It is located 11km from Bodrum centre and there was busesevery 10 min for very cheap price to take you to the town.
We really enjoyed every second of our holiday and I will recommend it to every one.

I definitely will go back as we really had a good time there. It is not very far from Bodrum centre

Its on a major highway and very noisy

from victorialady
Yes this resort is on a major highway leading to Bodrum. If you stayed in the fourplex condo rooms it is very noisy. We had to ask to be changed the first time as the toilet leaked and there was a large staircase to the room. As I have a bad leg it wasn't a good resort for me. Finally we were given a room that I could easily walk to but no view but the back of another building. But who wanted to look at a highway anyways,
There is only one elevator in the main lobby which broke on our final day and the restaurant is five storeys down. The Funicular to the water also broke so only one car was operating.
The hotel was still laying carpet in the main hotel and the roof leaked when it rained.
But the main problem was the food. It was terrible. I have stayed at other all inclusive resorts and never had such badly cooked food. I had been looking forward to Turkish food and since I have Turkish girlfriends I had had this type of food before. I have no idea what tourist group they were catering this towards but not worth the money. The best thing at supper was the tomato soup.
When we ate away from the hotel we did enjoy the variety of food offered and could see in the markets all kinds of fresh fruit that we never saw.
The road noise was not evident when you were at the pool level as the music was on and at the boardwalk where the other sun chairs were you could see the highway but not hear the noise. In the photos we looked at before we went ,there of course was no highway.
And the last thing was that there was smoking everywhere. In the dining room, lounges, pool aera so if you were a non -smoker you couldn't get away from it . The dining room has one row of tables at the back for non-smokers but with the dining room blue with smoke what's the point in that.
I will go to Turkey again as I loved the country but never to this hotel again.

a relax nice vacation at that hotel

from yaya051
we stayed at the kervansaray with our children on oct 07
the hotel locat in a very nice privat bay with beautiful view. it is on a very larg land with nice gardens and view spots.
the public areas of the hotel and the rooms are very clean. they have a long deck on the beach with a lot of sunbeds, and there are an alavators to the beach that operates from morning until evening. there are two pools, one of them-the slides pool is far away from the main pool and the beach so the noise of the children dont disturbing.
there is a free bus to bodrum several times a day- its recommended to reserve a seat a day before
the part that needs improvement is the food in the main restaurant. there are a lot of kinds of food in lunch and diner, but it is very standart and repeats every day.
also the chamam need a renovation.
at the bottom line- we enjoyed our vacation at the hotel.

It is really nice

from JulkaMoscow
We were in Turkey only once before, so we have very poor idea - how should the 5* hotel looks like in Turkey. Last time we were in Joy Kirish World in Kemer - it was absolutly perfect. When we tried to compare them - Kervansaray is really 4*. But when we saw all other hotels in Bodrum area - Kervansaray is really nice. Anyway, we liked our stay there.
No any negative comments, exept the absence of tea and watermelons at dinner (or supper, if you like :)
But we advise some things:
1) book rooms in main bulding (we lived on 2d flour), all rooms are sea-view - and rooms are renewed recently and cleaned perfectly. As our flight was delayed, we stayed one more night in hotel and we were given a room in bungalow - it is really lower level, than rooms in main building
2) it was strange - but a lot of people reserve the places on a beach and near the pool - in 10 o'clock we could not find a good place
3) no nice shop nearby - so you should go in Bodrum to buy souvenirs BUT!!! they have a free of charge buses to Bodrum several times a day, and those buses took you back in hotel

We really liked our stay!!!

it was nice but thats it

from erannirit
we stayed there is the begining of october and it was abit rainny which spoiled the stay
the hotel has a great beach and laguna and has great potential
but if you want a really great club this is not the place.
the food was ok so was the service, basicly the place was o.k. the problem was we expexted more and was abit disappointed
