This was the best holiday I have been on apart from the night of the storms but thankfuly it was our last night :D
Staff were amazingly kind and generous and did keep the place clean as they wer always cleaning round the pool up after us.The town is beautifull but didnt have many shops but the market and yalikavik is brilliant. The food was a bit repetitive over the week but there was always variety the entertainment wasnt very good was all german and for young young children reely not much for teenagers and adults. But I would definitely go back here.

Unpleasant Experience

With our friends we recently booked a holiday to Turkey to stay at the 4* Crystal Hotel Bodrum, two days before travelling we were informed that our hotel was due to close and we would be located at the Golden Age hotel. As we had already booked transfers from the airport to the Crystal this had to be changed.
On arrival at the Golden Age we were informed that there was no rooms for us and we should be at the Crystal for the first week and the second week at the Golden Age. After some discussion we agreed to go, when we asked about transport we were told they had no transport and we would have to pay for a taxi (£10.00).
At the Crystal we were quickly booked in and shown to our rooms which were adequate with a sea view and balcony, clean, comfortable and next to each other as requested. Food left a lot to be desired very little choice and repetitive. The first few days were reasonable pleasant, soon tables started to be removed from the dining area, loungers disappeared from the pool area and there were rumours of people being hospitalised with food poisoning. A note was stuck to our door saying we would be moved on Sunday and to be in reception by 11AM. On late afternoon Friday a second note appeared telling us to be ready in one hour with our cases in reception to be transferred to the Golden Age. This is not what we expected from a 4* holiday and found it very stressful and annoying.
On arrival at the Golden Age we were treated with some indifference the staff were confused and guests were complaining that rooms allocated were not suitable. We were presented with our keys and a bellboy showed us the way to our rooms, down three levels, across the dining area down another level, across the garden away from the main hotel to our room. A block of portacabins! On entering the room one was aware of a nasty smell (sewerage?) the curtains broken and walking across the floor it felt like a trampoline with every thing shaking (is this your idea of 4*). Back to reception to speak to the manager unfortunately he was not available but would see us later, when we were able to see him all he could say was there were no other rooms available and if we were not happy we should go to another hotel. He did eventually say if we came back at 12 noon the next day he would fiend us different rooms.
12 noon the next day at reception keys were produced and once again a bellboy lead the way to our rooms, down three levels, across the dining area, down another level and tucked under the stairs were our rooms. No outlook just a stone wall no sun at any time of day. Inside the rooms were damp with mould on the walls we had to pull the bed away from damp wall, no hot water, no room cleaning, towels were changed daily, bed linen one small cotton blanket for a very large king-size bed.
Food was edible and plentiful, toasted sandwich machine failed on the second day and didn't appear again, toaster jammed and burnt the bread.
At the pool area loud music was played most of the day until late night
As you can see from the above this was a most unsatisfactory situation regarding hygiene and extra expense to ourselves. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned out to be a most unpleasant experience.DONT GO

We were originally booked into the Club Crystal -now closed due to health reasons. While the Golden Age was beautful, had a beach-front lcoation and was reasoably clean, we were disappointed to find the all-inclusive drinks finished at 11pm and there was a lack of entertainment. As this hotel mainly caters for German toursists, any entertainment they did have was in German. Drinks are served around the pools in the evenings, which is fine when the weather is good but not great when it is windy. Staff are very helpful and polite and most speak great English. Be prepared for the location - on the upside it is tranquil on the downside it is remote and a good 30minute walk from the small town of Yalikavak or two bus trips from the tourist hub of Bodrum centre. A week was relaxing but any longer and I would have started getting itchy feet.

The worst Holiday ever Staff Rude Rooms absolutely filthy Mouldy and Damp not fit for a Dog. Bed was not made for a Week sheets just folded up and left down the bottom of the Bed it was more like Self Catering than 4* All Inclusive. My Husband had to wash the floor one day as ever time you walked on the floor with nothing on your feet they ended up Black. Ran out of Drinks
Great Hotel!!! Enjoy

Very nice hotel in quite cheap price.
The Full Base Included is an awesome thing: you can drink / eat all day long without any limitation.
I recomend this hotel for people who look for quit and relaxation but also to whom looking for good hotel in cheap price.
There is a place to mention that the facilities of the hotel are great and for the family including the kids there are lots to do.
The hotel is not in the city but it is 30 min. bus travel (I think that the way to the city is wonderful).
The food in the restaurant is very good and colorful.
The most amazing thing is the sound of the waves in there. you can just sit and listen to the waves.
Really Recomended.

Lunch + dinner- The salad selection and desserts are great. The range of hot dishes could be larger -make sure you try the Turkish specialities in the big terracotta pots!
The one negative point is the fact that the only bar to serve alcoholic drinks outside meal times is by the pool. We tended to stay in the restaurant till they closed so we could sit and sip!
Thanks to Lucy too - the customer relations lady - always very helpful. jst please read up about Turkey before you go if you haven't been before. Dont expect it to be like home!!!!!!
