The Diamond of Bodrum is clean, but is not a 5*. It's more like a 3* plus. We were put in room 3215 which had a brick wall directly outside the balcony making the room pitch black and there was a generator overhead which was very noisy. We were given another room after we complained, but not the best first impression. If you want a sun lounger, or a cushion you have to go down before breakfast. The all inclusive bar was a joke. The beer was watered down, the wine was ok but you had to pay for Efes which was not good considering locally produced drinks were meant to be inclusive. The food was ok, but nothing special. The pasta man is the best outside. The waiters will ignore you until your last couple of days when they will suddenly remember what you like to drink and bring it to your table without asking in the hope of getting a tip. Only a couple of minutes walk away is the centre of Bodrum, but the bars and restaurants are a lot more expensive than the rest of Turkey.

Just returned (16.6.2008) What can I say. This hotel is great. Yes it is not a 5* hotel but i would rate it as a good 4*. The room are good and cleaned every day. But what made it was the staff th. They are all great and fully committed in providing the best service thay can. You could not wish for a better location. The pool area and sun decking could do with a little make over as some of the deck tiles are lose. Look out for Mizam, & Omer in the resturant But the one person who stood out and who we consider to be a good friend is Himmet at the pool bar. So come on Diamond tidy up the pool area and you can have our 5* rating. This was our first time to Turkey and will return to the Diamond again. Thank you for a great stay.

It is a nice hotel with a lovely view and the location. Staff was just ok, not very friendly. Great choice of starters, not so good with the main meal or fruit. Very poor with drinks. It is not a 5 star hotel!!! But I'm sure you will make the most of it.

We had never been to Turkey and the diamond of bodrum made us want to return again. Great food, great service. great people. It's best to go all inc, then you only spend on cheap goods and days out. We went horseriding, scuba diving and had a turkish bath. All were cheap and so much fun. Can't wait til next year..

Definately not worth a 5 star more like 3 plus. No filter coffee after 9 am. Not enough sunbeds by the pool. The sunbeds was very poor. The meals was made of cheap raw material.

Hi We stayed in a nice room opposite the beach having a quiet atmosphere. Few major food (disregarding salads, desserts, ... ). The most important point: you are always faced with lack of space round the pool (you may add the bar close to the pool to this problem, as well. lol!!!). Bar tenders are friendly on the whole, but not as friendly as other staff. However, it is a nice place on the whole.

definately not worth a 5 star more like 3 plus. meals were more suited to continentals than english. drinks prices very expensive (we were half board, which was all that was available when we booked last august)a bottle of water which was served warm cost 6.17 lira, in the supermarket it was 69 cents ! had trouble getting a sunbed near the pool as the germans were paying the towel man to put towels on beds for them during the night

As soon as we got to the hotel, we were amazed by the stunning views! The hotel over looks the gorgeous harbour of Bodrum. The bars and shops are only a short walk away and the beach is straight across the road. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we are staying in the hotel again next year!

The food was great, the hotel was clean, the pool was amazing... but the best had to be the polite, helpful and friendly staff.

I stayed in this hotel a year ago and am happy to say that I’m going back this year. I’ve been going to turkey for more than 12 years, and have even married a Turkish guy, who I met in the UK, so it was an added bonus when he was from Bodrum. We have stayed in a number of hotels, and I can honestly say the diamond was the best by far. Rooms are comfortable and modern, and are very clean. food was amazing with such a huge selection and the staff just cant do enough for you. The Diamond hotel is in such a good location, it’s near shops and bars but still far enough to not hear any of the noise at night. My Turkish husband has lived in Bodrum most of his life, and he can say with his hand on this heart that you cant go wrong with choosing this hotel. I can’t wait to get back there in September this year.
