Rather wary about visiting the hotel after reading the reports on various web sites - but hey what were we worrying about - rooms clean and tidy, fresh bedding and towels every day - even on first day when we had only spent approximatley three hours in bed after being delayed at the airport. Food plentiful although repetitive at times - we never went hungry and this included the vegetarian in our party. Majority of staff happy, cheerful and helpful most of the time but a special mention and very big thank you goes to Turkey's number one barman "Mr Beckham" what a star! Entertainment thin on the ground but only a few minutes walk to bar street. All in all we had a great holiday - with the added bonus of wonderful weather. I'm sure we will be back.

All inclusive package was good at £645 per couple including return fares, transfers (40 minutes) and 8 nights but I could have saved £240 by booking fares and accommodation privately. The hotel and rooms were clean and the beds excellently firm. The beds were decorated with various patterned arrangements of the sheets and, on the last day, garlands of flowers - my fiancé thought that was really nice. There was air-conditioning in the rooms at no extra charge. The Turkish buffet cuisine was excellent with plenty of choice even if it became a bit dull after a week. To my delight there was no end of feta cheese, plain yogurt and naturally grown tomatoes. For the bland UKer, there were plenty of chips, chicken, boiled eggs, bread and cornflakes. No much veg but plenty of salad. Techno music (boom-boom--clatter-clatter-boom-boom-...) and four-letter-rap from 10am to mid-night in the bar-open-to-the-pool area was unpleasant and unnecessary. After several requests at the bar and reception, eventually (after three days) the volume was turned down, but the music not changed to something more universally acceptable. The local wine was palatable, lager good and Rakki undiluted! The 'all-inclusive' whisky tasted as dilute as water to me and thus quite irrelevant; no local brandy. The nearest beach (300 yards away)was dirty and rocky; about 400 yards further there was an only just acceptable beach with every square foot occupied by sun-loungers that had to be hired from the from the adjacent hotels who seemed to have the monopoly. This was so inconvenient that we never actually swam in the sea or sun-bathed on the beach but preferred to use the hotel pool area (when the music was turned down). The staff were pleasant enough apart from one po-faced barman for whom everything was so-much-trouble or 'finished'. Would I go back there... nah, not really... but then I never have re-visited anywhere (except Cape Town, of course) - I would rather explore somewhere new.
