Worst hotel ever...did not realise hotels like this still existed!!! Firstly staff so rude..Ignored the British and would serve others in front..When finally served (if the bar had not run out of alcohol, I say this because they ran out every day around 4 o'clock) would get drink in a plastic know the type that are chewed round the edges whilst non British would receive a would shut before it was meant too and drink would be taken away when asked the staff they would joke with each other..About the British! One bloke from Liverpool jumped over the bar one night and poured his own drinks, queues were so large..Best drink I had! Food was disgusting..If u don't like breakfast (dry bread and hard-boiled eggs) and like BBQ kidney and liver this place is for you. If like me you enjoy something edible the restaurants are lovely in the town. Gym was gross. No not do it is not even worth the cheap price id rather stay at home o ye n don't get me started on the rooms I cried when I arrived !!
Please cancel your stay?????????

We have always looked at holiday reviews before our visit. Normaly we would still go if the review was average, like when we went to Bulgeria in 2005. This holiday turned out to be the best fully inclusive holiday we have ever been on. (royal park Holtel) This holiday was a complete joke from start to finsh. We booked a 4 star holiday which turned out to be only a 2star when we arrived. This hotel had been down graded without informing any of the holiday makers.
We got thier late at night and didnt relise how many stairs thier was untill the next day. we had three children in our party and this was not suitable for small children. We are currently claiming for some money back as we paid double the amount, compared to other holiday makers. £654 Each person (6 in group). Please read the other reviews regarding the food issues and the entertainment as they are all telling the truth. please cancel your holiday if you dont want sickness and diarrhoea for your stay. Frazer the Rep is a complete Knob?????? he was not helpfull at all and said he loved the food and ate every night. we never once seen him at the restaurant. This hotel also onlt caters for Russians, Germany, Checks, and many more. NOT FOR ENGLISH FAMILYS. Please Please Please Cancel

A truly horrible place to stay.

There was so much wrong with this place that I could not mention it all so I will keep it simple.

Rooms - dirty, really dirty, mould on the walls and really dated.

Hygiene - did not exist, the food was kept barely warm, covered in flies, glasses were NEVER washed up just reused and reused, table cloths dirty with old food and bord droppings.

Steps - 241 between my room and the restaurant (and we were not right at the top) most had the treds missing or twisted sticking up in the air. Major trip hazard only suitable for the very fit (and careful)

Facilities - all the sun loungers were broken, there were not enough chairs, the TV room had no TV, the table tennis tables did not have enough bats and there were no ping pong balls.

Drink - two bars were extra, one was shut. Of the remaining two, one ran out of all drinks about 4pm the other ran out periodically. The beer was ok, the other drink Vodka was really rough and served with Cola Turk (a very cheap flat coke)

Staff - most tried their best but others well not so hard. We were stolen from so were many other people there. The hotel manager was rude and swore at another guest when she complained because she had her door kicked in.

DO NOT GO HERE. If it re opens next year under new management it will have to under gone major refurbishment, (basically knocking it down and starting again) to make it even a 2 star.

We complained and finally got moved on the 4th day to the Royal Marin next door - very nice place indeed.

Everything the first reviewer said is absolutely correct. The hotel itself these days is filled primarily with Russian and Eastern European tourists, and everything, including the entertainment, is aimed at them. Four of us went all inclusive for a fortnight ( first two weeks in July ) and we probably only ate three times in the hotel. The food isn't up to much and the queues for the bar were a nuisance, although I personally wouldn't complain to the staff there because I think they were working something like 20 hours a day.
The thing with this area of Turkey is there are so many places to eat out, which we did all the time, that the all inclusive deal is pointless. If you are adamant that you do want to be all inclusive then please pay for a better hotel, because ultimately the Anka is aiming at the cheap end of the market, and that is reflected in the holiday you will have.
Don't go there!!!!!

When first booked we thought we had a good deal- cheap all inclusive holiday. Location of the hotel is lovely- out of the hustle and bustle of Bar St but within easy reach by local bus or taxi (about 70p a trip wherever u go). On a hilly location therefore have wonderful views of the Bodrum and Gumbet bay. Rooms lovely although could be kept a little cleaner. Pools are lovely- nice and big, clean and plenty of sun beds for everyone. Here comes the bad part... this hotel DOES NOT CATER FOR THE BRITISH!!! We stayed for two weeks and at first we just thought we were being picky because we didn't like the food. But as the week progressed we discovered it wasn't only us. The catering staff served the same food day in day out! Salad, pasta, rice, slop in tomato juice with pieces of meat in- none of the food was labelled therefore nobody knew what they were eating! All of the food was served COLD and once the food was gone, it was gone! None of the food was replenished! Raw eggs were being served at breakfast on a daily basis! Even the snack bar that is by the poolside was awful- one day all was served was leftover tomatoes with cheese on top from breakfast! This is not the all inclusive that we are used to. 2 out of 4 bars are not included in the all inclusive. I could go on an on and on but all I want to say is if this hotel was offered as a SELF CATERING hotel and the staff bucked up their ideas this hotel would make a lovely place to stay. Don't be put off by Gumbet it is a lovely place, just do not stay at Anka!!!
