I have never experienced such disgust as the time I stayed there. I could not believe the filth and stench. How can a place like this even be allowed to exist. The local food was terrible. I had gastro most of the time. I thought I was going to die.

The hotel is extremely clean and well equipped, the view is out of this world, the photo's we took of the sunsets were perfect, as we sat sipping cocktails at the bar with the owners who are two really awesome guys who make the stay at the Aegean gate a great experience , what with the price and hospitality the Aegean gate is a must!!!!!

When I arrived I truly had no idea what to expect. The place was astoundingly beautiful and well kept. The rooms were immaculately clean and decorated in a Mediterranean motif. We spent most of the time chilling by the pool or tanning facing the island of Kos. At nights we would walk down to the clubs and restaurants. We had a fantastic time. I definitely recommend this place if you are not traveling with children.

Top Local Tips for Bodrum

Buses Travel by Dolmus (local bus service) they are the cheapest and best way to travel and they go everywhere all night in the season.

taxi it cost about 8 dollars to get to the hotel from town

Kafidaki restaurant Gary and Rory will tip you about this amazing restaurant located high in the hills above the Oasis shopping center, and they will also make the reservation for you. The owner of the restaurant speaks exellent english, as do his well trained and attentive staff. The restaurant will arrange for a free roundtrip pick-up service, saving you a 50 TLY cab fare. Of all the restaurants we visited during our 14 day stay, this was the absolute best. Great menu, fantastic music performed by an very talented singer and guitarplayer ( and the owner will also join in and play the congas after a while...great!!). There's no better view in Bodrum when it comes to restaurants. Prices are reasonable and lower than the other waterfront restaurants. A visit to Bodrum must include at least one meal at the Kafidaki!!
