I went to this resort last May (08). I had never been to Turkey before and was a bit worried about my 18 year old daughter, there was no need, all male staff were very dignified. Hotel was excellent, clean, tidy, modern. Entertainment during the day non stop, evening entertainment was laughable but they tried (bless). Older kids enjoyed the disco til late but watch the Russians, very stroppy after having a drink. Water slides were the most fun as the lifeguard joined in the fun and made everyone laugh. Everything was on site so no need to wonder from the hotel. Weather excellent, food very good but you must book A la carte as soon as you get there as it was getting busier by the day (free). Beach lovely with free pedalo's. All towels free as usual. Best bit about this hotel was the 24 hr bar, this means that you dont have to chuck it down your neck before it shuts which makes the whole holiday more enjoyable. I am trying to book a different 5 star hotel for this May (09) but I am not having much luck at the moment.

2nd time to Perissia. Whats happened?

Back again to the Perissia with much expectations as we had a fantastic holiday the year before minus room problems. Once again this year we paid for a superior room with a sea view (Thomas cook sent email clarification on this) and got a ground floor room that was poor. Manage to recitify this however on the last day they wanted us to vacate our room 3 hours early for another customer and pay for another room that smelt musty and damp. The real disappointment this year was the entertainment team. They walked around like guests and had no real interest in what they were doing. The evening entertainment was embarrasing to watch until we compalined like 5 others that week and they outsourced the entertainment and was fantastic. The escape disco was a farce having to serve your own drinks and was not advertised as this was the staffs 2 hour smoke break. They would refuse to put on music, change tracks stating Septmeber is for old people and im having a cig and will do what I want when finished. The food was not as good this year either however the Chinese were excellent. I seemed to gain the impression that many reasons for lapse in quality were down to the staff not being as happy and working all hours. The beach restuarant must have had a problem with there dishwasher as on 3 occassions picking food off the plate to make the plate look clean to eat on. Last year not one person complained of stomach problems, but this year at least 10 couples we spoke to had irritations during there stay including myself and my partner. Paloma is overated as a 5 star and feel that it should be made clear it is a 4 star hotel with 5 star decals. It is time for the Paloma to have a rethink and for them to use the faclities they have onsite. Was going to book this next year but not so sure now.

Brilliant

We went as a family of eight. What a fantastic holiday. The food was A1. They even had porridge for breakfast. The hotel and gardens were fantastic, but found simba quite annoying especially when he wet our video camra by the pool. But apart from that, totally excellent - can't wait to go back. My wife and daughters cried because we were going home.

the hotel, and facilities are amazing!! Can't really be faulted. Although if I had to mention something (and I feel like I do) it would be - The Pools - they're freezing The Food - lovely, but if you're a veggie it's a game of risk. The hotel (and most of the resorts) are mainly built for catering for the German tourists. But most people also speak English once you've not responded to their German approaches.

What a lovely hotel!

Fantastic time. We have recently come back from 10 days all-inclusive stay at the Paloma Perissia Hotel. We had a wonderful time there. Fantastic time! This hotel is very well laid out, stylish and comfortable. The location is superb. We cannot find anything wrong with this hotel as they seem to have thought of everything. Staff. The staff were very friendly, they are the most amazing, nicest people I have ever met, from the barmen to the cleaners, to the pool attendant, to the reception people - especially Nazmi. He knew all the answers, was very helpful, a true professional! The staff speak better German than English, but they always try to do their best anyway. Animation. The animation team were all really nice. They work so hard, but they genuinely look like they enjoy their jobs, they really make your holiday complete! We will never forget their "Notre Dame De Paris". Esmeralda, Quasimodo, the priest - BRAVO! It is really worth seeing, don't miss /but take your seats 1 hour before the show! Rooms. As for the room - it was clean, comfortable and a joy to stay in. It was cleaned each day and the room mini bar replaced with water and soft drinks every day. Meals. The food was amazing, we ate in the a la carte restaurants and found the service better than anywhere we have stayed before. Fish restaurant seemed to be the best. The hotels “everyday” restaurant was also fantastic, there was a large variety of food each day and neither of us "suffered" any ill effects from eating there. Beach. Clean towels are available every day for the pool and beach. Be careful – there are sharp stones in the sea! Shopping. The prices are mostly in euros and the taxi drivers and shopkeepers have an exchange rate known only to them. Shopkeepers seem to be too pushy in Side. Manavgat ones looked better in this sense. Don’t forget to bargain. 20%, 30%, even 50% discounts are possible! Library. You needn't take any books with you - just visit Perissia's library, you will be surprised! We didn't see anyone who didn’t enjoy a stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting all-inclusive in Turkey, because it was a wonderful relaxing holiday and we will go back!

WOW ! - My wife and 2 kids (age 7 and 4)just returned from 2 weeks at Perissia and words can't describe how much we enjoyed it. The entire experience was an absolute joy - simply not got a bad word to say about it. Superb, awesome, fantastic!!!!!!

The best holiday ever!!!

we arrived at the paloma perissia hotel at four in the morning so we missed most of the first day,we went out on saturday and on sunday it was the animators day off so we were a bit bored from the lack of entertainment,but up came monday and it was excellent we joined in all the activities starting with boccia in the morning and my husband and daughter ending with football.The food was great there was a wide range of food each day and you woludn't see the same food until the next week.the location of the hotel was also very good because it was only a fifteen minute walk into the town with shops and a fourty minute walk to the side ruins. The waiters,bar staff and cleaning staff were all friendly but the best thing of the hotel was the animation team because they were really friendly always happy to be with and they all spoke good english.The shows were very professional done by the animation team with comedy shows,dancing shows which my daughter got asked to join in with the animation team and the big shows on a saturday for example 'aladdin'.Me and my family are going back next year and we hope that anna, willy, kata and max are still there!!!

Wow! Simply the best!

We returned this week and can only say it was our best holiday. Nothing to complain about. Clean friendly and well worth the money. Food good although more suited to the German palette. However was still good. 90% of the guests were German but this caused no problems. Take the Ora tour (situated in Side.) to Manavgat and experience the offer of being dropped off near your hotel (100 yards out at sea) and being transferred by dinghy. What a laugh. A word of advice. Take euros not lira. The prices are all in euros and the taxi drivers and shop keepers have an exchange rate known only to them. If you have to fly with Sun Express TAKE YOUR OWN FOOD. Do not pay for in flight meals. The meat and veg is served cold and I still haven't worked out just what was on the plate. Just about everyone on the flight returned it uneaten. The worst airline food ever! BUT Perissia the greatest. We are going back next year. Hope Danny and Anna to of the animators are still there. For the royal treatment choose Perissia

We have just returned from the Perissia hotel today and would I would like to say ignore all of the negative feedback on this site because we found it to be FANTASTIC! The hotel was immaculate. The room was clean, comfortable and a joy to stay in and the rest of the hotel follows suit! The food was amazing, we ate in the al a carte restaurants and found the service better than anywhere we have stayed before. The hotels 'everyday' restaurant was also fantastic, there was a large variety of food each day and neither of us 'suffered' any ill effects from eating there! The drinks are national and international brands and if you sit outside the waiters bring a fresh drink to you as soon as you have finished your previous one! The swimming pool is amazing, extremely clean, lovely and refreshing as the temperature hit 90' whilst we was there! The area around the pool was also amazing and there were planty of sunbeds to lounge about on all day if you wanted to!! The beach was also lovely and Sandy. If you walk down the beach, to the left you are able to walk all the way into Side town centre, takes about 45 minutes but well worth it!! The facilities within the hotel are excellent and the majority of things you do are included in the all inclusive! Now onto the staff!!! Oh My Goodness, the staff here are the most amazing, nicest people i have ever met, from the barmen, to the cleaners, to the pool attendant, to the reception people and of course the entertainment staff, which is another story all together!!! All of the staff are able to speak English and really make the effort to speak to you, and it really feels like they want to get to know you, they even learn your name and speak to you personaly, they really do make you feel special! The Entertainment team are just totally amazing, they work so hard (as do the rest of the staff in the hotel), they really make your holiday complete, they take time out to speak to you, in excellent English, they play with the children on the resort and they genuinly look like they enjoy their jobs, i really cannot say how amazing and nice this team is!!! This was the most amazing holiday ever i am definatly going back there!!!!!
