Accommodation, food, service everything about this hotel is excellent. We have been there for 2 consecutive years and will definitely return next year. Not so much for yourger people as the entertainment is minimal. Those who want luxury, quietness will be over satisfied.

We stayed in this hotel (Amara Tekirova) in late June with my 2-year old daughter. This was the worst holiday I had in my life. I had reservation for the deluxe room, and they gave me a standard room and did not reimburse me for the difference. The place was under construction and nobody told us over the phone, electricity cables were all around naked. When you were in the beach, there were workers around. There were construction ladders and holes around (very dangerous for kids). The staff were rude and were not willing to help. In this huge hotel, all of a sudden electricity was gone and I was in the restroom with my daughter, I could not even find out my way out. And the staff told me that this was frequent and they didnt have enough generators for the hotel. Unbelievable.

Terrible rude staff, who is looking to make your day like his one but has no intention to serve the customer.
Fist I talk to a girl on the reception to get some information on the prices and availability. She asks me where I call from then without informing me she puts me through to another person. Its a man called (Ismail Isik), who asks me again the same question which country I call from for a very bizarre reason; to give a different price list. And, nope we are not talking about the different currency here, apparently they have a different price list (I seriously wonder why?) for every country. Well, I say I call from London.
Ok, what do you expect him to say at that very moment? No, he still doesnt want to talk about the price lists. He tells me that I should call tomorrow as there is no one at present to give price information. I ask him kindly to give me the Turkish price list then. Noooope, he gives me talk to the phone, because face aint not listening routine.
Off course I do wonder why he kept me talking and wasting my money on the phone if he didnt have a price list.
Tell me that I should call in the morning or tell me what you can tell me about the hotel. But tell me something about Amara for God sake!!!
I got curious and asked him about the founder of the Hotel, he told me that he doesnt know. I am not made of cotton wools or silk, I did get piss off eventually and asked him to put me through to his Manager, he told me that he doesnt know his managers name and he is not around. I kept insisting talking to his supervisor.
Suddenly someone named Yelena Turunc on the phone, who asks me if I called for a fight. I am off course speechless and gutted. Then I heard the hang up sound as she did not bother to carry on the conversation with me.
What do I think about the hotel? How anyone can go to a hotel, where the receptionist starts to make your day hell on the phone before you even arrive there? How can you trust them with your children? They dont even know the name of the founders of the hotel or their managers name, would you really expect them to know anything, when you need helping hand during your stay.
You would think with that many stars in front the hotel they would spend more money on staff training and customer surveys.
Couple of years ago I took some guests to Ciragan Kempinski and remember very well the satisfied face of my International guests. They loved the food, friendliness, quality, service and the entire package. They left with the impression of Turkey is a service orientated Country.
I just wonder, what goes wrong. Huge investment, big publicity, awards, the whole shebang. Money comes in through the door but service leaves out of the window. This is what happens and happened to Amara too I guess.
