It has been a horrible experience to spend our holidays at this hotel. We have been travelling around Turkey. We have stayed in three started Hotels and they all have been really perfect (Istambul, Göreme, Selcuk). But for finishing we chose a four started one, Assos Eden Gardens, thinking we were going to be treated better, but it was really nasty. The staff is awful, no place like this. When we arrived, they did not speak or even look at us. They took our baggage to our room (Just up the hotel kitchens with many noises and smokes even during the night. With no sights) and put gave an orange bracelet, that was all. They did not explain anything to us. We had to ask where all the places in the hotel were, the timetables for meals, everything. They answered very shortly because I think they did not know too much English. Then we realised everyone in the hotel had green bracelet, except for us. I asked again to the staff, they told us green bracelet meant all inclusive, orange one, half board. I also asked what was included on half board, they told us, “no drinks.” We thought we could not have drinks from the bar, but we could have the juice and water from the suppliers located all around the hotel (as in the Turkish petrol station they are free). Even at dinner we had someone watching us, even when we tried to drink water. It was a very shameful situation for us that could have avoided if the staff had explained at the beginning what we could have or not. We wanted to use kayaks and we did not because maybe it was not for people with half board. We were afraid to make something not inclusive in our half board. Also, the hotel is far away from everything if you do not have a car. |
