Great Hotel, great location.
This is a fairly new hotel in a quiet suburb,Kloten. I stayed here 11 nights on my Swiss vacation. Has free shuttle service to and from the close Zurich airport. It is very nice and modernly decorated. The train station is located just behind the hotel. The S7 train runs every 30 min to Zurich. Staff is friendly and spoke english. Please learn basic german survival phrases and words since the majority of people dont speak english. You can buy train tickets and exchange currency at front desk. Room is very clean with a very nice bathroom. Beds are comfortable. Bottled water is complimentary. Room has safe but never used it since couldnt figure it out. If you want the TV to wake you up, be warned, once it turns on, volume will go full blast by itself. It scared the hell out of me on the 1st morning. Also, be very carefull not to hit the "ok" button while you are flipping channels, especially the PAY TV channels. It will not ask for confirmation, and you will get charged $17! Modern, Bright And Spacious
Medium size hotel very conveniently situated within five minutes drive of Zurich Airport and close to buses and rail.
Adequate parking.
Nice bright hotel foyer. Very nice staff.
Large very modern bedroom with excellent bathroom.
Pleasant cafeteria on ground floor with a limited menu.
Reasonable room and food costs.
The Allegra is a modern 'international style' hotel that could be almost anywhere and does not have a lot of local 'atmosphere.' However it is a very pleasant hotel of its type, and an ideal place for a traveler to stay for a night or two if they are in the Zurich area. We would certainly stay there again.

Upon our arrival, we discovered that Hotels.com did not send our confirmation until the day we arrived. Space was very tight indeed but the desk clerk managed to accommodate us with very little inconvenience. Had it not been for her, the 5 of us may have been stranded. The hotel was very very clean and only steps away from the train. Thanks again for your hospitality.
