Top Local Tips for Vevey
Vevey itself Vevey were beautiful. We went there because it was close to Montreaux, but Vevey is a sight in itself. The promenade by the lake is utterly stunning.
Mid-summer break didn't expect it to be so hot in July didn't prepare for so much sun got quite badly burned on the first few days. Went to Switzerland when I was 16 with myschool only remembered snow and wrapping up warm. Wrong! Different altogether in Summer.
Attractions Bought a train/boat pass when booked package which meant did not have pay on trains or buses which was great way to travel in that area. The boat trips were amazing in Lake Geneva and also visits Lake Luzern and took the train in the hills. You must take the funicular. Took the Goldpass Railway into Zweisimmen and had lunch on the way back, it was awesome.
