GO TO HANSELMANN'S FOR CHOCOLATE!!!!! You MUST go to Hansellmann's chocolaterie for chocolate and other pastries. They are absolutely divine. We bought over 2 kilos of chocolate there and wish we had bought more! It's right in the centre of town.

Please do not believe what you see on the website photos. The hotel is very old and it has a stale smell. The food is very average and the service is poor. Also, the heating was quite low not exactly something one wants on a cold winter night.
The hotel attracts a lot of old crowd and couples with young children who make a lot of noise. The choice of food is limited, so I would not recommend this for individuals with special dietary requirements or small children.
Also, please note the owners will not let you drink your own champaign It was my uncle's 60th birthday and we got a bottle of vintage champaign for him The owner showed us the door when we turned up at our dinner table with the bottle .
My husband's father passed away during our trip and we had to leave 6 days earlier (the hotel charged us for 10 nights, although we have only stayed there for 4 nights). The owners showed no remorse about the death of our relative and refused to issue any refund or a credit towards a future stay...In summary, this is definitely NOT a place to stay if you come to St. Morritz on your ski holiday.
