Top Local Tips for Lucerne

Mount Pilatus While you are in Lucerne, definitely visit Mt. Pilatus. You can get what is called a Golden pass that includes your 15 minute bus ride to the location of the mountain, the cable car ride to the summit, a cogwheel train down the summit, and a beautiful hour and a half boat ride back to Lucerne.

Awful hotel Do NOT STAY here!!!!

January travel Travel in January is great.....better hotel prices, fewer people, opportunity to do "snow stuff" or just walk/bike around the town.....architecture is still architecture whether it is January or August, and getting around is just so much easier in January
